One area of constant concern is storage space, yet we have to pre-make a bunch of things to research traits on alts. (Not everyone but some of us.)

The need to store pre-crafted items to research could be completely removed if we could research anything known by another character on our account, requiring the trait mat and enough of some core resource (whatever can craft one of the item) to research it. It would cost the same in mats, just eliminate the pre-craft need and allow the research to happen as long as the mats were available.

This need does go away, but only after months or more. Some swap between characters to make things as needed, but that take a fair bit of time and also wastes system resources.

I choose to obtain the needed gear when it's time to start the research. No inventory issues since I don't choose to pre-craft and store all the gear I won't use for some time.

I like this idea a lot. It's a simple yet eloquent solution, and adds further incentive/reward to training up your very first master crafter when you research all your traits.

Given that research takes quite a while without research scrolls to reduce the timers, I think players definitely deserve to be able to easily conduct research on their alts without the need to pass gear through the bank.

While I don't pre-craft myself and prefer to craft as the need arises, I think this is a great QOL idea. Solves my issue of forgetting to craft for my alts.

Mostly this - though I have plenty of storage space on all three accounts.

All of this! I’m mostly done with research on my alts, but I would have loved for it to be less tedious and would certainly appreciate this QOL feature if I ever make another character!

And I noted that. It consumes too much time to swap around, ironically now on the PC since character loading takes quite a while.

Though it is doable now. Making this change, possibly in the Quality of Life plans for this year, would reduce the load on bag space for some/many.

Not going to argue with you.
