Is Conceding “better“ than Losing?

Title.

I had a very bad streak of matches, going second and the tavern completely playing against me. I got so frustrated that instead of losing I just conceded the match, logged to another character and tried again.

The weird thing is, I started at a position in the 70s. I conceded 4-5 battles out of 6 or 7 and won just one or two. Now I’m rank 52. This means although I’ve lost way more matches (by conceding) I still got points and got to a higher rank.

This… doesn’t add up? Are your points calculated differently when you concede? Because after all these losses I definitely should be out of Rubedite and now increase my rank. Definitely not.

If you are losing many games, then the score system is more apt to give you more points when you finally do win. Maybe you were losing against low level opponents, losing minimum points, but beat high level opponents, gaining maximum points.
    Don't tank

conceding is by far the worse option

in addition to the queue penalty timer, you also forfeit all rewards

if you just "lose" but play the full game you have no penalty timer and still get a reward box
