New character-focused loading screen art

Really not a fan of the art style used in the new character-focused loading screen art. It feels very much as generic 'realistic' fantasy art, and missing the essential nature of the traditional Elder Scrolls aesthetic, which I find hard to describe, but is to me characterised by a slight hazy unrealness that enhances the otherworldliness without diminishing the integrity of the fantasy world. The faces especially in this new art style are disconcerting and very immersion-breaking.

(Disregarding the art style, I also just don't like character-focused loading screens... I'm here for the epic fantasy landscapes, not a bunch of random sweaty adventurers in my face .)

Uh. IIRC all the previous character-select screens have been character focused.... that's the entire point of the screen. Hmm. But now rereading, you're saying "character-focused loading screens". Many of them are from the past of the game, so they've always been around. I enjoy them, and I also enjoy the more "landscapy" ones.

I like seeing some of these older screens again; I've missed them.

I like the one of the adventurers in the inn, or the one where they're setting up camp by some rocks. Those spark stories in my imagination and feel more true to the RPG aspect of this MMORPG.

And I really like the line-up of the notable NPCs. I think, "Hey, I know all those guys!"
