Infinite Archive - Is Focused Efforts % status chance additive to base or multiplicative?

The 12% increased chance of status effects seems rather small. (I know it's OP though, just interested in the details)

Is that a flat +12% ontop of the existing chance? Or is it multiplicative?

EG: Is a Weapon Enchant now a 32% chance of applying a status effect, or a 22.4% chance?

    its not the chance to apply increase thats OP with this vision lol

    you can just use stuff like ele sus, or certain skills or procs that guarantee applying status effects

    with 3 focus efforts stacks, just spamming ele sus is like 50-60k dps on a pure tank spec, can basically ignore the "chance to apply" increase as the effects are guaranteed

    edit: to answer your question, im assuming multiplicative because at 5x stacks its like a 62% increased chance to apply status effects which if additive would make them trigger all the time from anything just about

    I didn't distinguish that I knew it's op from the damage increase coupled with guaranteed proc sources, mb.

    Regarding it likely being multiplicative that's slightly disappointing since it heavily favors guaranteed proc sources rather than introducing status procs to sources that otherwise wouldn't usually proc them. (Damage over time).

    Though it does create niche ele vulnerability / Asylum Destro staff builds. But like, it really elevates them above everything else...

    Had it been additive it likely would have been more widely used for DoTs in general.

    the bigger problem with the archive visions is that many of them are extremely weak, so you cant really easily build around them

    ult cost reduction vision is low (caps at -15%) but it does stack with existing ult reduction/ult gen to be able to build a unkillable DK with perma magma shell

    the other dmg increasing visions are just too low to even compete with the raw power of focused efforts, even with the status chance being multiplicative

    so if your running archive you pretty much always take focused efforts even if your not running a mag build, or one that guarantees status effects

    i actually have an experimental necromancer build that uses serpents disdain for +16 sec on status effects for the archive, 20 sec status effects with a few focused efforts you basically just have to spam ele sus on everything and then just turtle up while everything dots to death lol

    Yeah, started running the archives and have been having fun (but haven't been able to get past 3-5-2 as I'm a 19K HP glass cannon) but the vision system just seem lackluster given you can't really curate towards any particular build selection (I would love to build towards enchantments, and I'd love to try poisons if it reduced poison application cooldown), and then you have focused efforts which is a massive outlier.

    attuned enchantments is probably the 2nd strongest individual vision, when paired with stuff like infused weakening enchantments

    its like +75% effectiveness per stack, capped at 5 stacks (like all other visions) which is +375% effectiveness of the enchantment

    for +weapon spell dmg, or the debuff (weakening enchant which is -weapon and spell dmg on target), this is extremely powerful

    its also extremely powerful with the resource restore enchantments, to help with sustain on later arcs

    it sounds like your doing pretty good already, you could probably get further if you built a bit more survivability (such as if you were running a solo arena), or utilize a tank companion (they are almost immortal in there against 90% of the enemies)

    Yeah, currently using Ember with Telvanni Efficiency/ Quickend, and could probably have her SnB/Ice Staff instead of Lightning Staff or start on a new companion.

    And I hadn't thought of using the Weakening Enchantment, that could make some bosses much more survivable.

    Speaking of, do you know if the Enchantment effectiveness is multiplicative with things like Torug's/Infused?

    if you use infused for enchantment, the attuned enchantment bonus applies on the infused buffed value, not the base enchantment value

    and with a 5 stack attuned enchantments, the weakening enchant + major and minor cowardice does so much debuff on the enemies weapon/spell dmg that if it happens in early arcs it can reduce single enemies to 0 dmg, and make the npc enemy deal no dmg whatsoever

    usually on a pure dps spec (though with a bit of healing and max hp of like 26k with food), i can usually make it almost to the end of arc 4 unless i get really unlucky with some bosses or trash fights, and marauders are pretty dicey, though if you have the tank companion they are much less of an issue

    i really like the archive because of the visions you can make a lot of these really niche builds work exceptionally well in there lol

    my experimental toon is a necromancer tank build running oakensoul + serpents disdain (long status effects) and explosive rebuke (block puts a bomb on an enemy and heavy attack detonates bomb, dmg scales with resistance and applies burning guaranteed)

    i also use ele sus (guarantee burning, concussed, chilled), and the necromancer ruinous scythe (guaranteed hemorrhaging)

    if i had more room on the bar i might include blast bones (not sure if having the explode one that guarantees disease status effect, or the new sacrificial morph to buff the dots of the status effects further would be better)
