Anyone else annoyed by low rate of death by class abilities?

The "Kill Rate" with class abilities seems pretty low. In other words, if you kill 'em with class abilities if mostly does not count.
What am I missing or is this just a bug? [Short and sweet enough for the moderators?]

I love endeavors that tell me to kill stuff. I hate the ones that tell me HOW I have to do the killing.

Whether it's weapon skills or class skills, the results are reduced if you weave or use companions since sometimes your light attacks or companion will actually do the killing blow. So if trying to optimize the results, I unsummon my companion and try to force myself not to weave - and I quite dislike that.

My magplar has exactly zero weapon skills slotted but has plenty of class skills. My magsorc has exactly zero class damaging skills slotted but has a weapon skill. So the HOW to kill restriction causes me to either choose which character I use or redo their skills - and I quite dislike that.

Just tell me the objective (make kills or even what kind of foes to kill); don't tell me HOW to do it.

    What are you on about?

    Ok, edit for content:

    1) Don't sweat the endeavor, you may well get plenty of kills over the coming days anyway.
    2) If you do need to 'rush' it, I'd recommend changing up your build a bit, but not dropping companions...their XP grind is atrocious, keep them around!
    3) Old school zombie grinding could work, but public dungeon loops get better xp/min for your companion I'd say.

A lazy magplar build (see forum avatar):
Oakensoul, 1pc monster (crit or 1k stam&mag, for example), order's wrath, and warmaiden.
All the magic damage stuff: spear, jabs, the explodey AoE, the magic sweeps etc. Any trash mobs die without you having to take your foot off the W peddle. Read a cheap 50% scroll first.

    For the endeavours?

One round of Skyreach Catacombs with an Arcanist and weekly was done.

    Yep. Arcanist better than Dragonknight.

Any proc sets that get the last tick of damage?

For this type of endeavors I remove companion, wear off monster set (the most proc damage source for me), slot one panel full of class skills (no weapon ones) and stay on this panel. I also keep my fingers off light and heavy attacks.
It is hard to switch from usual rotation, but manageable.

Doesn't bother me. I'm not fond of and will almost always not do the "kill x with y" ones anyway.

Unsummon the companion is a must for these. I think it depends on how you play as to how easy or hard these are. My arcanist is class skill heavy so I find this one easy but for weapon kills I have to use another toon or switch out her skills.

I never seek out endeavors, I get them when I get them by playing the game. So I have no clue if I am, or aren't, getting specific endeavors. ;)

All of that and you still have chance of status effects :)

Take a Templar, no companion, and just jab wolves all the way. It won't take much.

Some classes are better at this than others. If you have an Arcanist or Templar, it's dead easy and fast. Run through the first stages of the IA (or Skyreach, or some public dungeons with high enemy density), and you're done.

Also, you literally have all week to do this. You may start to panic towards the end of the week. On Monday evening it's a bit silly, imho.

Also about endeavors. Just found that killing pet-sorcerers counts to "Kill bestial daedra" 0_o

And Templars are especially good because Jabs procs Burning Light fairly quickly. If both Jabs and Burning Light hit at the same time and one is a killing blow, you get credit for 2 kills on one mob.

I only use the weapon or class skills according to which Endeavour it is, and if it's a poison Endeavour I just hit with the light attack. No companion, and if a sorcerer then no pet unless it's for class skills. I either do them as part of whatever I've up to, stick to the easiest mobs, or for weekly Endeavours stick to a dolmen. Basically, whatever gets the Endeavour done for the least amount of distraction/time.

Not realy, I did 100 kills in 1 random normal dungeon, that weekly is so lame.
