Daily Rewards System Glitch

There seems to be a significant issue with the Daily Rewards system. Yesterday, I claimed my two crates, but now I have to wait 19 hours to claim my daily reward? I honestly don't mind whether it's DLC or just a 1 EXP scroll, but why make us wait 19 hours? Something is completely off here. And yes, I've been claiming my rewards at this hour every day since I started playing this game five years ago.

I can 'remake' event quests for tickets, I can 'remake' writs, I can keep leveling up my horse skills like I do every day, and etc.... but I can't claim my daily.

    Ok, get this.

I had the same bug. Someone said if you have Deadlands, porting to Fargrave unbugs it.

So I thought what the heck, worth a shot. And it worked! :D

This was a "new" glitch. And since it's too early in the day for me, I really didn't search topics because of this, because... well... it's too early and I need coffee.

Travel to Fargrave. Then you can claim the daily login reward - Orsinium DLC. A little strange though that you have to do that.

And users without eso+ and without DLCs like Deadlands and Clockwork are still screwed.

Ok so here is how I fixed it. When I first logged in this morning I logged in with a different character to the one I was using when I logged off yesterday. I then switched to the one I was using yesterday and it worked. Didn’t need to go to Fargrave. Worth a try and hope it works for people.

Didn't work for me either. The last day is still indicated as being lost already and the Orsinium DLC is displayed as being claimable in 17 hours.
  • thenappinghamster
eso+ accounts already have orsinium so traveling to fargrave isn't necessary, but they still miss out on last day reward. tough luck! no eso+? wanted the dlc reward? just travel to a different dlc zone to unglitch it! oh, wait... you can't! you don't have access to dlcs! 🤪 it's almost like they don't understand their own code?

What makes you think the Orsinium DLC can be claimed tomorrow? People will be out of daily rewards for the remainder of the month if the DLC can't be claimed.

I think it's a hickup from a feb 29 hotfix (i.e. someone adding a day to the "rewards in february" counter, although the leapyear was already handled elsewhere in the code, so 2 days were added and the March 1 reward counted for February 30) In that case it should work tomorrow, but you'll lose the 3000 Tel Var.

And the workaround hasn't to do with Fargrave per se. it's more likely that the daily rewards are tied to an instance's internal reset timer, and those are messed up in instances that were already open on March 1. Fargrave just is a place that was most likely shut down due to no population. In the pinned thread someone mentioned they had success in Betnikh, so I'd still try traveling across Tamriel.

My guildmate got it working by traveling to Blackreach. And this worked for me, too.

edit: It was the Reach Blackreach caverns, not Western Skyrim. And I warped in directly (paying the fee)

I haven't found anyone who doesn't own any DLC at all to confirm this, but I think in that case they wouldn't have a problem because they also wouldn't own Orsinium so they'd be able to claim it normally, like picking up any other login reward you don't have unlocked yet.

I don't have ESO+ but I do own all the zone DLC (including Orsinium) so I did hit the bug and was able to fix it by porting to Deadlands. I suspect one reason people are recommending that zone in particular is because it was given away free in some promption or other so it's one a lot of players are likely to have.

Hypothetically there might be someone who only owns Orsinium and no other DLC, but then they could try the other suggestions (like logging into a different character) or go to the Imperial City - technically that's a DLC zone but it's free for everyone. Or they could go to Wrothgar.

Even if you already own Orsinium and/or have ESO+ you'll want to pick it up because if you don't claim a login reward you don't lose that one, you lose the ones which come after. If ZOS doesn't fix it and players don't find a solution they'll miss out on every other login reward this month.

No, I previously tried porting to IC and Vvardenfell (since both were considered dlc at once point), but it did NOT work.

That isn't connected with already having Orsinium.

I have two accounts, one with all dlc (except dungeons), second with only free IC and Morrowind. Claimed reward on first in Clockwork city, can't claim on second.

I got it fine on my free account which has purchased Necrom and all chapters that came with it but did not have access to Wrothgar. Both of my ESO+ accounts had the problem, porting to Blackreach caverns worked for both. PC NA

Congratz you found. My cousin. She just can't get reward because she just can't get to DLC zones

My second account doesn't own any DLC and cannot claim the reward. Porting around various zones hasn't worked. Waiting for a fix (which I'm confident will come).
