Can we get some access to the content of the old crown crates?
It's been at least two years that I've been waiting for the Ice Atronach crate to make a comeback – and I'm sure others feel similarly about some other crates.
With new crates being introduced almost every three months, the wait time for old crates to return is only getting longer.
Would it be possible to introduce ALL old crate content via Seals of Endeavor, for example?
As a sales tactic the fear of missing out is powerful. ZOS has made the monetisation choice to have crown crates make limited time returns for this reason. They will not change this as it earns them too much additional income. They have no incentive. Your only hope is it returning in the next 2 years for 2 weeks. Dont go on holiday haha.
FOMO can also backfire when it reaches toxic levels and players recognize it. It's the main reason I haven't logged in for months... Sometimes you just need to step away from something you loved when it becomes poison.
Thing is… I’d bet they would make more money realizing some of these limited crates more for the amount of people who would’ve bought crates at the time but have left the game before they came back out.
I know right, I've been waiting forever for the Dwarven Crown Crates to return so I can get the white River Braids, at this stage I don't think they'll ever be back

Really, once a year they should have a crown crate month where they cycle through all the old crown crates every couple of days, like 2 old ones for 2 days before moving onto another 2.

I get the predatory FOMO purchase logic on their end, but I'm also not going to spend money(the main goal of the store)/endeavors on something I don't want just because it will become unavailable. I will however put some money towards things I do want...but I can't spend that for ZOS if the items are not available. Almost seems like they could make more money if everything is available. Then again, I've seen some players in a total chokehold over this game. Perhaps those people really make the difference to the team that handles the macrotransactions.
All that being said, I do return to ESO daily to check and see what's available today that wasn't yesterday. And because of crates limited nature, I have been saving up for the two officially-announced upcoming crates, as I believe those may have cosmetics I want for my character. I will make a larger spend in a smaller period because I know they will eventually go away. But that still entails months of slowly saving (AKA not spending), building up endeavors and my irl pocket.

Truer words were never spoken. I took a two years break because of it. Two years of no subscription, no money spent on houses or crates, nothing.
The Seals of Endevour are limited - the items there are also expensive compared to how many Seals you get... if everything from all the crates was available to be bought via Seals, would it -really- make such a difference? We were never able to buy a lot with Seals considering how scarce they are...
All I can see is that they'd offer the same limited tactic of obtaining rare items but giving people disillusioned with an item ever returning a chance to obtain it.
Ergo, many happy people.
