I do respect PVP Players though. I just go thru the motions though to get my tickets and look forward to the end of the event lol.. All i ever see is Death by Endless Fury when i do my battlegrounds for Tickets. I don't even change out of my Dungeon gear anymore. PVP is Just not my Thing. PVE is my baby!

Yeah, I don't bother wasting any time or effort in putting a PvP build together. I just go in my dungeon gear to do what I need to do and then leave as soon as possible. I don't have the reflexes required to effectively play that part of the game.

Same, age and physical limitations mean that I could at the very best aspire to greater... mediocrity.

Still, zerging no-CP IC was kinda entertaining, although most of the fun came from the company rather than the setting.

I'm pretty sure that we could have been sitting on a cliff watching pebbles roll down to the sea and still have similar amounts of fun.

I'm a PVE player who has managed to figure out in past events how to get a good number of the transmute crystals by learning what gives AP - live or die doesn't matter.
But I have not gone into Cyrodill at all this event because every time I check on Blackreach, there's a 20- to 30-minute wait to get in, and I just have the patience for it with other things to do.
So I may skip it altogether this year.

PVP is alot more about skill than maxing DPS. You have to focus on survivability and damage. It leads to more hybrid builds and alot more set diversity than PVE.

I love you can have whatever skills you want and make a really custom but viable build. Unlike PVE, in PVP most people have differnt builds which makes it very fun to play in comparison.

Maybe watch some Guides on youtube to get ahold of things.

Battlegrounds require far shorter waiting. You can queue as fake tank, healer or dps. Nobody cares.

Get the daily quest on multiple characters and pick the one that says earn 1000 points (easiest) or play 5 times. It's guaranteed 2 tickets a day.

I use to be the same. I use to loath pvp. I would only ever go there (Imperial City and Cyrodiil) just to get Vigor unlocked (for my pve tanks) or to get tel-var to unlock those storage chest.

That is until I came across a YouTuber named Gankenstien I believe. His videos were hilarious to me and inspired me to try out a Bow-gank build style. Then I did more research on other gank builds. Made my pvp experience much better. Able to strike from the shadows from a distance while being relatively safe just made my pvp experience so much better.

Just as of this week I tried a melee gank build, and my god. I love it. I can drop someone in 2-4 hits (most times) before they can react. Just have to pick your targets carefully and have your ultimate ready to go. Reminds me of my ole school Rogue gameplay from another game.

So I say try it. Build for it and I’m sure you’ll enjoy the experience much more. I get tired of tanking vet dungeons all day, so pvp is a nice breath of fresh air. Pve is still my main playstyle, but I see why people enjoy pvp so much after dipping my toes in it.

Judging by the continual reductions in the population cap in cyrodiil ZOS isn't planning on supporting cyrodiil going forward. I'd like to be wrong about this, but all evidence points to ZOS slowly phasing out Cyrodiil all together.

The original pop cap in Cyrodiil was 600/faction. Now, as of January, the pop cap is 60/faction. That's a 90% reduction in the pop cap over the last decade. I don't know how these continual reductions can be viewed as anything other than phasing out the zone for PvP.

I created a character specifically to PvP with a friend and followed his advice for my build. As hard as I tried I was just average or below.

Then this friend mostly moved on and only logs into ESO once in awhile. So I reworked this character to run the Infinite Archive and was surprised when I ran a battleground one day how much better I was doing, even though this build wasn't specifically for PvP.

I doubt I will ever become a "real" PvPer but I do enjoy it a lot more than I ever thought I would now that I have a decent build.

For your 2 tickets, the Town dailies in Cyrodiil are much faster than BGs! I like PvP, and even I don't do the BGs for tickets. One Town daily takes less than 10-15 minutes. Cheydinhal, Chorrol, and Weynon Priory have no alliance capture mechanic, but Vlastarus, Cropsford, and Bruma do. It's just riding a horse, killing enemies, going back to turn in.

Even though I have two PvP builds, I do not want to get better at PvP as well. One of those builds seems horribly outdated as well(templar).

The event was fun for the first two-three days. But now it is absolutely terrible again, reminding me of why I don't ever want to PvP ever again in this game. Unkillable characters running around, PvP builds who are practically unkillable, in stealth gankers/gankgroups who have no intention of really PvPing, PvP builds holding chokepoints with no way to pass them by. Just horrible, horrible, horrible! And with such a high DPS/skill difference, there is nothing anyone can do about it. Just a huge waste of time.

ZOS needs to start over entirely with PvP, because the current 'PvP' isn't PvP. It's just a gankfest/trollfest and no fun at all. Real PvP is fair battles/fights, not this... whatever it is.

Right now I would be happy if there never was a PvP event ever again! And this is because of 'PvP' itself!

I'm actually having more fun than usual this Mayhem.

I have participated in quite a few engagements between zergs composed mostly of players like myself that barely know what they are doing and they were fun.

Eventually a group of players that knows what they are doing rolls in, everyone gets farmed and the fun times come to an abrupt end but I guess that is the nature of PvP.

For some to have fun other's fun has to end. The cycle of life?

Just here to say thanks for your mature attitude regarding content you aren't personally interested in.

It's fine to skip said content, but it's even better if it's possible to do so without silently (well, more or less) grudging and envying.

I only wish more people here in forums would take this behaviour as an example and waive their entitled claims (especially during MYM). Then toxicity around here could safely decrease to the level of this game's PvP (which isn't "toxic" at all imo).

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

"I have no Ambitions to ever get better at PVP"

I have huge ambition to play "non running simulator PVP" and "non meta builder PVP".

So...I'm not interested in any of current ESO PVP contents. Each year show up PVP event,
I feel pure stressful and boring days.
    My playing time Mon-Friday UTC13:00-16:00 [PC-NA] CP over2000 now.
    I have [1Tough tank] [1StamSorc-DD] [1Necro-DD] [1Real Healer]
    with [1Stam Blade].
But, I'm Tank main player. Recently I'm doing Healer.

im a mid level pvp'er. with my vision problems and ping i probably wont get much better but its all i enjoy in this game. First thing is to surv. youre dps doesnt matter if you die in 2 sec. you need 34k hp min but prefer 38-42k. vampire stage 3 with undeath. after that build damage for your character class. research the current meta which is almost always lame proc set tank

    I agree!

Also, I do not think that I am that good at PvP. I'm getting the 3 event tickets per day, but I try to avoid all PvP while in Cyrodiil and Imperial City doing my PvE daily quests, by picking empty campaigns, and while in IC I sneak whenever I can.

In IC just goto arena, get quest and stay at top and wait, cause even if others save em,it counts for you.Don't take too long,no PVP needed, and just go do something else rl,or alt+tab and surf web or some thing.

i think this is just because the mindset of most people is just "follow the meta" and they dont try to do any theorycrafting or experimenting on their own

as soon as something is declared "meta" then everyone starts using it, which i kind of have a distaste for

OP, I got grand overlord a couple of years ago with a toon that was always in PvE trial healer gear; at first it was just because I didn't want to swap stuff around since I did a lot of PvE content with that character, but then it became a sort of bet of whether I could do it, and lo and behold: it only took 84 years  Joking aside, I don't think you need to be good to enjoy Cyrodiil, especially during events where there's so many groups going around. I would advise though to get a bit more health, even in your PvE gear, it goes a long way of surviving both encounters and siege.

In the first half of ESO's life, I tolerated PvP and sometimes enjoyed exploring that section of content. Most games I just ignore it outright or try to interact with it very little. As this game developed i found that tuff to be more of a chore than any fun for me. Now I barely play this game while I wait for something i feel is worth it to me to get involved in, and thats been a few years now. Just have to wait and see what that so called 'PVP focused update' will be at the end of this year, huh.

A bit extra; I didnt think about anxiety when i was a kid but now i'm self conscious of various things which leads to me being really tense or on edge when playing PvP focused things, and sometimes solo titles because i just don't want to screw up. i can still have fun in single player things, but online PvP stuff messes with me too much.
