Wanted please: ITEM CURATION from random boxes in Cyrodiil / Imp City vendors!

I mean, it might, conceivably, have been semi-reasonable to provide purely random items from the boxes when there were a third of the number of possible Outfits here. And when the Knights of the Circle pages (from the Knight's Rebuke and Knight's Resolve at the War Researcher) were the only Style Pages (there are now at least two other entire sets of Style Pages), and you can only get Random Weapon or Random Armor styles from either.

But... with SO many more outfits than there were at the original start of the game...

FOR THE LOVE OF MARA, MORA AND MAULOCH, CURATE THEM!!!!

- Knights Rebuke and Resolve to give *curated* style pages from the War Researchers. When you use one, you won't get a style page you don't already know, unless you know them all.
- All the random boxes from Elite Gear Vendors. (And possibly Regional Equipment vendors too, but this isn't really necessary as Cyrodiil is not the prime source for base-game outfits.)
- All the "Unknown" items from Battleground Merchants. Please let them be curated to be "Unknown" to the player's stickerbook, it'll give you a thing you don't have.
- Tel Var Equipment Lockbox Merchants (which are the only way to get *weapons* from the Imperial City outfits, even un-curated: the armor pieces and jewelry are available for specific purchase, from the Tel Var Armorers, Greater Armorers and Jewelry Merchants.)
- Other Battleground and PVP reward boxes including "Rewards for the Worthy"

...And please Undaunted Pledge Master's Coffers too, other than the blue Mystery ones.

Yes, please! I just spent all my 8 million AP I accumulated over 10 years just to try to complete the Cyrodiil sticker book. Still several uncompleted sets and people asking astronomical fees for a simple dagger.

I wanted a spell strategist resto staff, but clearly did not get it pulling 12 boxes from the Cropsford vendor. Several duplicates of what I had of course. I don't have enough AP to have any chance of completing any stickerbook the way it is.

I've made a lot of money selling Deadly and Powerful Assault gear over the years so I'm not sure I want it curated since I already have the Deadly Daggers and PA Icestaff!

Highly agree. I would love to stickerbook everything in ESO. Missing so much Elf Bane The big thing for me is the PvP monster shoulders

The Undaunted shoulders would be nice, yeah the 5 key coffers should be curated. I have every shoulder right now, until Scions comes out and don't wanna gamble for a year or more for 6 shoulders, 30 keys seems fair enough. EU & alt are missing a boat load. This would one of the best QoL things they could add

Where I would love to see currated drops would be in Maelstorm Arena, Vateshran has 3 regular sets and you get 4 curated items for those 3 sets per run, meanwhile Maelstorm has 6 regular sets and you get 1 new non arena weapon. Wish they made it so you got curated drops from arena 4 or 5 onwards allowing us to get 4-5 new stickers for non arena Maelstorm sets.

as a tank, once I've tried to get the PA ice staff and in total I spent 200k+ tel var and never got a single one. Then I had to spend 3.5m buying it from players. I had to roll for Nunatak box too, which cost 20k tel var and that is the only way to obtain it. This is quite a lot of tel var for a non pvp player to acquire stuff for pve

and not just for pvp, i would say It already happened to me having to spend 100+ undaunted keys to obtain a specific shoulder

I would love to have this as well. But I don't think they ever will. They want to keep the grind long and RNG based. the longer players chase after a certain item the longer they play the game you see.

And yeah, I too spend many Tel Var stones for the Powerful Assault Ice staff instead on things I actually wanted.

I want to know how come they got rid of the nordic towel from the yearly event. All the boxes I got from this year absolutely proved that runebox was removed. verified by the ridiculous price they went for on Traders.

All gear drops should be curated. No reason for it not to be except to make it much harder for us to complete our Collections. A friend got the Powerful Assault Ice Staff during the event in some reward box. He had no idea where it came from since he did like many of us and just opened one box after another and then sold, locked or deconned the items he didn't want. He almost deconned the staff.

I've gotten two P.A. Ice Staves from the Telvar Vendor and all the items I've ever gotten from that vendor are always purple. This Ice Staff is Blue. So we know it came from a Rewards coffer of some kind. Just don't know which. He gave me the P.A. Ice Staff so I now have it.

But yes, please, make all gear drops curated! On that note I've been buying the three "Monster" sets with AP from the vendor in Cyrodil and so far every piece was different. I have most of the three done and none were the same. So maybe those three gear sets are curated?? Sure seems like it. Need more AP to complete that collection.

Agree 100%. As for the Monster shoulder pieces I usually just wait (I don't need them for any build atm) for them to show up at the Golden Vendor. I have gotten all three weights of one of these sets from the Golden. I can't say which since I can't login during the maintenance.

But, they do rotate into the Golden Vendor cycle. So far I've only seen ONE rotate in and I check the Golden every time to see if it's dropping the other shoulder pieces. So far only one set has appeared at the Golden that I know of.

Yep. Same here. Check the Golden Vendor every weekend to see if the shoulder piece or head piece you need is for sale. I've acquired many head and shoulder Monster set pieces from the Golden. Easier to pay 100K Gold or AP than it is to run a Vet HM dungeon pledge for 2 Undaunted keys and then use them on a somewhat random drop box to get the Shoulder piece needed.

I'm not sure if I have that staff but if I do I can send it to you if you are on NA PC. I will check my accounts once maintenance is done.

I spent nearly 2 mil AP in Bruma trying to get Deadly Daggers. I ended up buying it from a guild trader instead.

100% agree.

Simple logic for "ideal" game - more effort=more reward.

With RNG you could spend 100s of hours of playtime attempting to get a specific item, only to be defeated by RNG and eventually either buy with gold (if available to do so) or rage quit.

i.e. it's a recipe for frustration which pushes players away from the game, thereby LOSING ZOS MONEY (in the long term).

There's a couple of different in-game mechanics which were introduced to AVOID RNG as well - the golden vendor, curated drops etc.....so why was this not rolled out for ALL gear in game?

Simple solution - make all gear curated (including cyrodil pvp, imperial city tel var, and undaunted shoulders). If ZOS wants to add some super-rare drop only obtainable through RNG, add a mechanic that guarantees a drop after a certain number of attempts (mythic leads I'm looking at you).

Disagree with this. Any of the ones that are tradable should not be curated because it allows people to curate their drops to only the most valuable ones to sell.

Finding them even then can be a pain on console, since they will not be widely available.

For imperial City I don't even wish curated drops, but more a option to farm a gear piece. Like if they would add a gear piece on the 6 daily quests each.

Cyrodiil doesn't have curated drops too, but you can just do the dailies in the towns and get all those drops for free.

Since last year regular home base quests give free drops too and treasure chests as well.

For IC trove scamps are now dropping IC gear piece.

Your worst case scenario is still the best result for the community, as supply would become so high that the prices would plummet to an affordable range, meaning your average player would have access to necessary gear.

Necessary gear like Powerful Assault, a set that benefits you by having a groupmate with it equipped, or gear like Deadly that makes queuing as a Support much less terrifying because things are actually dying.
