The class is so broken in so many way in PvP.
I don't want to play it, i hate the flashy green. Can you please tone it donw a bit?

I just figured today how people spam shields to stay alive at 1 HP. Really cool!

You don't need the flashy green or even the tentacles. Arcanists have superior defense, superior penetration and superior sustain. There are stamina arcanists not using any class skill but dominate BGs.

How many time do i have to see Arcanist with zero health being pummeled and not dying?
This is embarassing. PvP has becoime a total joke.

When you shield up at low HP, you still take execute damage. Run an execute. Templar beams really hurt Arcs.

I like the Arcanist’s animations, although the beam could probably be toned down for other players’ view. Yes, it’s flashy, but most of the classes have some prominent effects/animations and to me, Arcanist’s look better designed than DK or necro.

As for combat ability, there are nerfs coming in the next update and I am glad that ZOS is making small adjustments rather than a nerf hammer. It would be nice to bring all classes to a place that is fun to play, but with different strengths and playstyles.

Definitely, I'm missing the old version of the shield breaker set that did oblivion damage.

That arc stun though, Rune of the colorless pool...so much more difficult to break compared to other CCs.

But 10x easier to avoid than any other stun. Just tap block. If they spam it, keep tapping block and they're just wasting mag.

Also an arc doesn't really have any decent DMG or pressure outside of procs. The beam is avoidable and your not killing anyone with flail on it's own.

You appear to be making a new thread about [x] being OP or unfair based on whatever killed you that day.

Do not take this the wrong way but how long have you been playing PVP? How many different classes? ESO PVP has always had (severe) balance issues true, but it is advisable to roll with the punches a bit more. Learn, adapt, improve and then maybe when there is something that still sticks out as particularly broken you can give feedback here in a more constructive manner than [x] needs to be nerfed and [y] is not real PVP. Getting so worked up over everything only hurts your own enjoyment.

and when you see the templar beam, bash or stun charge him, then hit until until he breaks free then use tentacles to immobilize. All those steps use stamina so you still have plenty of magicka to spam the shield at 1 HP.

Yes, that is normal healthy PvP counterplay. Pretty sure the low hp issue is a UI desync.

It's a p2w class just like original Warden back in the Summerset chapter. I don't think that arcanist is quite as busted in PVP as warden was, but on the right build it can be very strong indeed.

Have you read my post or you are here just to defend arcanist broken class?
If you read again you will see that my complain is about THEM not dying.

I don't care being killed. But I would like fair game.

    Let's see:

dk heals to half health instantly
warden heals himself and another to half instantly
nb heals to full health from 1 HP
sorc stuns everyone and teleports away

    what's fair?

I know those things. Arcanist is different. Everyone that has withnessed what i am talknig about knows.
    But I will stop here.
ESO PvP don't deserve discussions. It's broken beyond repair and ESO combat team in my very personal opinion only made things worse and worse.
So I will look somewhere else for PvP and don't bother this forum anymore on this topic.

I run an Arc in PVP and every time I see one using the beam I know they are an easy target. Relying on the beam in PVP is a mistake for the most part. But to say they can't put out decent damage or pressure outside of procs is not my experience. Nor the experience of the players I have sent to respawn with relative ease. Love it when I see 2-3 players blob up to try to beat the Arc, they are only helping me save resources while I shield up and beat them down.

Arc is definitely not at the level of the DK or an experienced player with a NB. But I'd put it above Sorcs and Wardens when it comes to damage. It hammers the one-bar Sorcs. Arc is just a different style of play, as much in PVP as it is in PVE. Its kind of like the Sorcs from about 3-4 years ago before their shields got nerfed

Nah, it's fine. I can't count how many Arcanists I've killed in Imperial City during the event. It's a lot. And no, I'm not on an Arcanist. LOL

Stamina or hybrid arcanists who appear to use Stinging Slashes and Wrath of Elements for pressure, Rune and Flail for CC, and spam the huge 1s shield to stay alive.

Lack of reliable offensive abilities is easily solved by proc sets, while they have best defense, sustain and CC toolkit.

Without procs it's near on impossible to kill anything with an arcanist that's not a potatoe. With master dw being nerfed I think arcs will have a harder time again. The defense on the hand is top tier.

Event kills, 1vx, etc don't count as much because you're getting more randoms with bad builds that don't know the class. For this thread we're talking about more of the copy paste build with a player that knows how to take advantage of it to at least some degree up to the range of player that flat out abuses the more op parts of the class.

Theres a lot OP with the Archanist but ZOS know what they're doing, if it was too week people wouldn't pay for it.
Just hope they bring it in line properly soon.
