I think they get the random daily award. I wouldn't be surprised if they got the pledge completion, too. No loot, though - you need to be proximate to the action for that - unless pulled forward by the 'joining combat' mechanism.
Probably someone just afk but maybe vote-to-kick?
Maybe, yet another reason to play with pre-formed groups....freeloaders only by consent

some of the non-dlc pledges require killing 3 of the bosses in the dungeon instead of just completing the dungeon, if you missed say the first or second boss your SOL and need to do another run
for most of the newer pledges they just require dungeon completion, which should only really be killing the last boss if you happen to join in the middle
in the case of your question, if someone were to afk through a whole dungeon, it is possible they could still get credit because they would be yanked to each boss due to "joining encounter in progress" in the dungeons that it is available

That's the strange part though, because the map showed them at the entrance, and they never got pulled to any of the bosses. I guess it's possible they actually walked out of the dungeon. But then why stay in the group (one even had the crown)? So odd.

You leave the lowbie afk at the entrance and run the dungeon. If they get kicked, no big deal. If they don't, two rnd completions. There for a while, I had a bunch of level 10-20 afk at the dungeon entrance in my rnd dailies.
