Add-Ons & Thoughts

Hello,
I do a fair amount of scripting and programming, which has also including making addons in Lua. While some ideas I have seen look interesting. There is one thing I do see. Many of them are small and unfinished, and some have similar ideas. It would be in the best interest of the community, you, and your projects to combine said projects together. And to work together with additional authors to providing a more completed concepts. Instead of many similar projects that exist in smaller fashion. While I can not state my objection or true wishes for what I would like to do right now myself. I feel there isn't much understanding for that on myself whats better served to design. Do not wish to randomly start a addon then for people to hate me if I discard it for lack of usefulness a month later -lol-

Just wanted to post and say to everyone that decides to make a addon, or has made one. Lets make this a great community, and lets have some fun!

Competition is what makes things better.

While I can commend your intentions, I simply don't agree. A lot of these are people trying to learn. You can't very well up and combine two projects when neither party knows what they're doing. Even if that's not the case, some people don't work well with other, have different coding styles, would rather do it all themselves, etc

Also, I've never seen anyone hate someone for making an alternate of something that's already available.

I do think you misunderstood my motive. It was not to dislike/hate on something rather to suggest (yes in the end its a authors own decision) to work together. I do thank you for the reply. And no need to state the obvious with people learning or the individualization needs of authors. This was just a kind note nothing more. You should take it as such if you develop. If you do not, then don't see much of a reason for your post, but guess that's the freedom. To post as anyone should. Anyways you have a good day and see you in game soon.
