From my 10 master crafters doing all the writs every day of the event so far, I've averaged about two master writs a day. The drop rate has fallen through the floor. Most of those have been low level - provisioning, enchanting, alchemy - giving a "bonus" of 2 per writ.

I'd say I'd be very lucky to gain 200 vouchers throughout the whole event.

And you say you have what would normally be 3500 vouchers in two days? Do you normally get over 1500 vouchers a day, because the drop rate wasn't advertised as changing, only the value.

I appear to be praying to the wrong RNG deities.

7,000 writ vouchers worth of new master writs from 2 days of the event sounds pretty spectacular. Are you sure you didn't just do a stockpile of master writs from before the event and misinterpreted what the event does for vouchers?

I'm enjoying it too. On PC NA today my second account main got two legendary master writs: one leather for 176 vouchers, one jewelry for 164 vouchers. That got her within 400 vouchers of the grand master JC station.....

Yeah even with 60 maxed crafters going through the event I haven't gotten that many.
3,500 outside of the event sounds wrong even.

    Sounds pretty sus.

I assume they've been buying some from other people, or have been stockpiled awhile.

The drop rate on master writs this event has not been great for me either, but I did get a gold jewelry one (protective trait, which isn’t bad) that brought me over 200 writs, so I’m happy with that. :)

I'm enjoying this event too, because for the first time it feels like it payed off to have 20 max craftskill characters! And to have all that time and effort invested in them.

Got about 15 golden master writs in total.

PS: As someone who did the crafting dailies for 2+ years, I have two homes with all setcrafting stations and am working on the third home. (Wasn't planning on the third, but due to the new master crafting stations I can finally start using my favorite house: Telvanni's Tel Galen tower)

I enjoyed the double drops and got a few Master Writs with a nice voucher payout. I'd definitely like to see this return, with some of the kinks worked out.

I think they should have more of these type of events. I'm enjoying being able to level my crafting skill lines on new characters by running dolmens and deconstructing everything.

Highly doubt you got 3500 vouchers in 1 day with 20 or less characters.
    With more it'd be believable.

At 20 every character would have to pull writs totalling 175, each day.

Which is doable, but very unlikely to pull that many high quality writs in a row.

at the start of the event, i had maybe 1,000 vouchers in my inventory. i now have 7,960 something. and just before the event started, i cleared out all my old writ vouchers, which weren't that many because i hadn't been doing much crafting. that's where my 1,000 writ balance came from.

now, i don't think i accrued 7.000 vouchers in TWO days ... i think it was 3. i forgot that there was a half day when it started, so i did do some crafting right after it started, once i found out we were getting 2x the amt of vouchers on the writs.

it's possible that i got lucky. i got a few gold jewellery writs that paid out a whopping 460-ish writs. i got several purple ones also, and several gold blacksmithing and clothing ones that required nirncrux, which pay out something like 180 each. some perfect roe provisioning.

i have 20 chars, all maxed out in crafting skill pts, nearly all maxed out in research, and many know a few full motifs. i've playing for years, i just amassed this over time.

anyway, i gather than others haven't had this luck. i thought maybe a lot of other people had, but maybe not.

Subject aside, does anyone knows if the motifs achievements gained on one character also factor into getting those master writs on other characters that have learned some or none of the current motifs?

Almost positive it only effects the character with the knowledge.

My main with most motifs definitely gets the biggest array and amount of master writs.

My 8 Trait Crafters get less but more than those who have no trait research.
  • CoronHR
    CoronHR

    yeah it's character specific.

it's a matter of a character fully knowing a style of motif (not just chapters). having done all trait research affects it too

having learnt purple and gold provisioning recipes affects provisioning

having learnt all the positive and negative potency runes in enchanting, and the aspects and the other, forget what it's called. i don't think hakeijo matters

having learnt all the alchemy ingredient qualities for the main ingredients. dragon's blood, mother of pearl items, clam gall ... these don't matter, at least i don't think they do

I've hardly had any master writ drops out of my 4 characters. A couple on the first couple days, then maybe one a day since. But I'm still enjoying the event cause it's giving me an excuse to do my writs and surveys (even though they aren't doubled, I'm picking stuff on the way to them)

My average drop rate has dropped considerably as well. I've gotten 4 writs total since it started, I usually get at least 2 per day on my main.

It's interesting. I'm doing daily writs at max level on 6 characters (I have more max level crafters than that, but I've also had a lot going on IRL since this event started, so I have to mostly just use my main on 3 accounts both PC NA and EU), and so far I've got 21 master writs across the 6 girls. Some of them have been quite valuable, others not so much. All of them go to whichever character is currently working on the gramd master stations - I got the third station (JC) on my second account NA today.

I consider that pretty good for an event that wasn't "promoted" much, and that I haven't really been able to leverage due to RL issues.

and how would i prove it?

also, if you are reading, you'll see that i made a correction - it was over 3 days

i'm not lying or making this up. but really, the point of this post, which you people who are so hung up on numbers have failed to see, is that i'm happy about the event. the numbers really don't matter, and given the response i've had from posting this, i kind of regret bringing it up
