Undaunted questions

My character is high 30s now. I was under the impression you can't join the undaunted until level 45, am i right on this?
If i join undaunted, do my dungeon achievements that i already have done count for undaunted? or am I boned on that aspect.
am I limited on how much i can level undaunted in one day?

They recently changed undaunted opener quest to 10th level before the respective alliance npc's appear in first zone of alliance; prior to that you would visit the npc alongside fighter and mage guilds to 'join', thereby unlocking the skill line(those are the intro undaunted quests which simply requuire you to visit banished cells 1, fungal grotto 1 or spindleclutch 1 depending on your alliance). The change is a bit of an annoyance as you have to remember to go back at 10th level now to pick up/unlock the undaunted skill line rather than just run around and pick up guild memberships as part of your initial post-character creation runarounds.

The undaunted quest(as level undaunted enclave invite 'reward') at 45th level unlocks daily pledges from the undaunted enclaves in each alliance capital (Wayrest[stormhaven], Mournhold[Deshaan] and Elden Root[Grahtwood]). Those award a variable number of undaunted keys depending on how the pledge dungeon is run (normal, veteran, vet hard-mode(hm)).

There is another npc in the undaunted enclaves that is available from 10th level (Borgul?) who offers daily delve quests that award undaunted skill line advancement (don't recall how much they're worth - 10 undaunted skill line progression, maybe) and level undaunted for companions(+1/daily), too, if active and you're into that sort of thing; you also get a reward box with mostly trash. There are a total of 15 of these dailies and they can be shared so it's possible, but a bit fiddly organisationally even with a guild event specifically set up to do these, do them all.

As far as I know, the undaunted skill line does count relevant dungeon achievements prior to unlocking the skill line.

So, in summary between 10th - 44th level it's Borghul(or whatever the orc npc is called) undaunted delve dailes and from 45th onwards you can add pledges to that.

Bolgrul - undaunted delve dailies Note: pretty sure it's 10th level now before this guy appears, too, but probably worth checking/verifying.

edit2: as usual the in-game help F1 'feature' is about as useful as a chocolate fireguard when you put in a sensible text query like 'undaunted'.

completing dungeon quests (the skill pt ones) will count towards undaunted, as well as pledges and bolgrul dailies

completing trials also can rank up undaunted as well

this list is all of the ways that give undaunted xp now:

Daily delve quest (undaunted xp value: 10)

Normal pledge (xp value: 25)

you can unlock the undaunted skill line as soon as you start the character (skipping the tutorial), or after you finish the tutorial

you visit one of the undaunted groups in one of the alliance starter towns (the only one i really know where it is is turuk redclaws in the inn in vulkhel guard) (its the quest that wants you to go into banished cells 1 (you dont have to complete it either just enter it), then return after that step is done and you unlock the undaunted skill line after they do their little undaunted chant for you lol)

if you do any dungeon quests prior to unlocking the skill line, no they do not retroactively count

level 45 is only for unlocking pledges, you should in most cases have the undaunted skill line itself unlocked by lvl 3 if you go directly there

I did borguls undaunted dungeon quest but it did not unlock the skill line for me, it just unlocked it for my companion?

I did borguls undaunted dungeon quest but it did not unlock the skill line for me, it just unlocked it for my companion?

that is correct, the bolgrul daily unlocks the skill line for the companion

for yourself you need to visit one of 3 of the undaunted npcs in the starter towns

a minor correction on my previous post, is that the undaunted skill line requires your character to be at least lvl 10 now (since u39 there was a specific quest it would give you to direct you to one of the npcs called "one of the undaunted")

if you did not have the quest for whatever reason, you should still be able to manually visit them:

turuk redclaws at the salted wings tavern in the town vulkel guard in auridon
mighty mordra at the tavern the rosy lion in the town daggerfall in glenumbra
kallistig the axe at the tavern the fish stink in the town of davons watch in stonefalls

NO. I made that silly mistake.

Don't wait for invites. As soon as you're level 10, go to their inn and join undaunted yourself.
