Less frequent Infinite Archive book drops?

What happened to the book furnishing rewards or is it just my RNG? I used to get a book approximately ever other run of just the first arc — now I do two arcs and NO book drop at all, even though I’m using the same character and have only unlocked more potential book drops (assuming that is a prerequisite for these as it is for the Scrivener’s Hall and treasure chest books).

I want my books!

Edit: Closer estimate of my droprate based on ichors toward the achievement and inventorying my houses.

The drops from arc1 seem to have been drastically reduced. It's not just books. I almost never see the GW in arc 1 now. I haven't gotten any of the fragments either. Even in arc 2 they seem to have reduced the drops.

I'm not sure why they would do that. It's not as if I have the time to go much further even if I wanted to. It just seems mean to me.

I agree that the drops rate seem to be decreased.
I also stopped doing IA for the moment and waiting for the new drops added with the future update.

I stopped doing endless archive. Its too boring/repetative and rewards are meh.
I thought it was fun for about 2 weeks. My wife and I enjoyed being able to play together as a two person group in a "dungeon", but it just gets old. Too much of the same.

The drop rate feels even worse because of all the "treasures" that looks like books, so for a moment you get hopeful you got one only for it to be some goods to sell for gold.

The rewards are really lacking for the amount of time invested. I only go into the infinite archive for (reasonable) endeavors, and only if I absolutely have to because the other endeavors are PvP or require a group.

Yeah I had hoped to get the skeever pet, but with no drops from arcs generating enough AF to buy the fragments is just too much grinding. The rewards were really sad before the decrease, now... At this point, I'm just looking to get enough to buy a lead if one pops up for something I want.

Agreed! Why couldn’t more actual book furnishing drop instead??? ZOS could make them bound but vendorable for 250 gold or whatever so that it would be the same thing to those who don’t want them.

That is extraordinarily low! Have you read the books and do you do the unknown portals? I don’t know which chests can contain the books. Howver, I think I did initially overestimate my droprate — as close as I can tell, it’s more like 27 books in 45 runs, none very long (I got to arc 5 exactly once and most ended in arc 2 or 3).
