A new skill to replace shocking siphon

Other than the 3% passive increase in damage this skill has no use. Most of the time i don't even slot it when running EC. Here is my proposed alternative to the skill. Only the 3% damage increase would remain on the skill

-Undead ally, send out a wave of energy around you turning up to 3 undead enemies into an allies for 16 seconds.
-undead army, turn up to 5 undead enemies into allies for 20 seconds.
-raise the dead, no longer turns the undead. Instead raise up to 3 corpses around you to fight along side you for 20 seconds. Each corpse consumed grants you 50 magicka and stamina for the duration.

Hard pass for me. I mentioned in another thread recently, undead horde doesn't feel like Elder Scrolls necromancy.

Elder Scrolls necromancy has always been more about corpse manipulation and black soul gems. Liches and waves of undead are the minority.

If you like armies of the dead, Diablo and GW1 did that well.

I would prefer a reliable non-tether AoE. But I like your input and would decide nay or yay after some testing.
If anyone here says: OH! But, PVP! I swear I'll ...

Thank you for the valuable input and respectfully recommend to discuss that aspect of ESO on the PVP forum.

Thanks for your feedback. Wouldn't raising the dead from corpses or turning the undead into an ally be corpse manipulation?

Thanks for your feedback. I do too. I'd like to see boneyard's radius increased some for the major breach morph. I think the ability to turn the undead into allies or raise corpses would give the class some identity and would make it one of the most fun classes to play on overland. I think this class just needs a sense lf direction.

Shocking/Mystic siphon is used in raids by EC cros.

Therefore, I would propose changing the other morph instead.

Detonating Siphon would have much more use in PvP if it went from a tether ability to a simple ground aoe that checked for any corpses within the radius and detonated all corpses within upon cast. The skill would remain great to use in PvE trash pulls, and would give necro's PvP kit the needed burst they've been missing post-graverobber nerf.

If all corpses detonated, that'd be cool, even on a delayed. The burst comes from bladtbones. Mystic siphon is underwhelming, i usually leave it off my cro.

More like Soul Magic, extracting power from the dead, just like the current incarnation of Siphon.
