[SUGGESTION] New class: Alchemist

I think there could be a nice new class that is a bit more different from what we have right now.

The focus would be on alchemistic potions, poisons...

and chemical grenades.

Based on a class skill potions would become explosive and could be thrown at enemies or friends and would either damage or heal, buff or debuff. It would require to not wield a weapon on that bar that makes use of these potions and it could be combined with some fist fight skills instead.

It would heavily use potions that could be turned into something for the uses described above using a specific passive or active skill.

It could also be combined with making mechanical and then poisoned traps that could be placed on the battlefield (maybe an invisibility skill would be a good addition) and the tank could then pull the boss to that trap...

Could add a tactical component and team work to the fight.

I like the idea, finally those green vials on the hazardous alchemy and similar outfits would be more than just for show. Sounds like more of a skill line than a whole class though, for instance skill 1 would be a potion throw, with 1 morph for damage and 1 for healing. It could just be an extension of the existing crafting skill to make it useful for more than just brewing consumables.

I always liked the idea of throwable alchemical bombs! The sound design and animations could be so satisfying too, give the pots a nice arc, crash and explosion. I think they could just add it as actions to the alchemy skill line I think it’d be hard to make an entire class out of it.

Too narrow for just a class. You want three separate trees. It could be part of some kind of Artificer class like:
    • Alchemy/Chemistry
    • Dwemer themed construction/engineering
    • Artillery/Explosives

I'd love an engineer class themed with dwemer stuff.

I feel like this could be the best class in the game without much work.

tanks buff themselves by chugging pots
healer chuck enchanted healpots and cast magics in tandem
dps takes fokn steroids and melts faces or just likes to throw crap in general.

i cant imagine any other class being played tbh ;-; maybe its TOO good of an idea.

Many people don't like the idea of new classes without a class change token. I don't wanna ignore years of progress and development I've made on a character just to have fun with new abilities. I'm all on board for new skill lines though, and with scribing on the way and having a "smart system" to prevent abilities from being too beneficial, I think most additions to combat abilities should be strictly through skill lines and not new classes anymore.

That being said, I would love an update to alchemy and be able to use it for more than a potion every 45 secs or some poisons on weapons. I think using throwable vials and such could be fun. In elden ring they have these things called spark aromatics where when you douse out a liquid, and as it gets exposed to air it ignites. It's fun. Maybe that example is not applicable in elder scrolls world, but there is definitely something appealing about having little concoctions of doom and power haha. Especially when it's earned through collecting and crafting of materials.

    New Class: Al Dente

It would consist of Vamp/WW buffs and Provisioning skills. Some new recipes. Extra sharp teeth for Vamps and WWs, things like that.

I'd prefer a seperate class with a dwemer/engineering theme. So much that could be done with that alone. Also, there's no real like between Dwemer constructs and alchemy in lore, which makes it somehow feel unfitting for me personally.

Yeah like a crafting class. And you can summon dwemer automatons and stuff. Sounds good to me.
