I just read this article and am excited to see what's going to be happening.

It looks like they are expanding on the Wrothgar story and part of the Craglorn story.
I can't wait to see what they will be doing.

Not really, unfortunately. It's just that there's a recurrent character from Wrothgar in one of the new dungeons.

The dungeons are a brief intro to the chapter. I'm more interested in what this means about the chapter.

I didn't have the impression it's going to "expand" on anything other than the Necrom chapter.

The title says "5 Quests & Activities to Prepare You for Scions of Ithelia", though - that's the dlc pack ;)

I have taken a look at it - including the new prologue - on PTS. In case you're interested (although I'll just make a very short description):
In the Oathsworn Pit dungeon, we meet Chief Bazrag from the Fharun clan who we already know from Wrothgar. The pit is an orcish training ground and cultists of Ithelia have stolen an artefact from it. This artefact will play a role again, and there will possibly be some new lore around Malacath in the chapter. But it's not a continuation to the Wrothgar or Craglorn stories.

Pretty relieved as I didn't want to have to do 2 more zones before the expansion lol.

Don't worry, they normally don't do that (actually, making Necrom ending with a cliff-hanger and continuing with Gold Road is the first time two stories are directly related and don't make sense at all when not played in the right order; Morrowind, CWC and Summerset were related too, but it didn't feel that extreme). What they sometimes do is including small bits of background lore, that makes some details, well, more interesting (to me at least), but it's not neccessary for understanding the story.

That's one person I never thought I'd encounter again, wow it's been a hot minute.

Wanna take bets that I'll have to run the Dungeons by myself because every other player I PuG with will want to rush thru as to not give me the time to read any Quest Dialogue?

No bets. Because you already know that's how it works.

Yeah, you can't rely on unknown groups in that regard. The usual suggestion is to search for a story-focussed guild or go with friends, but I know that's not easy for everyone.

But at least the Q1 dungeons normally don't have that much story content that's relevant for the chapter, or if it's relevant, it's explained within the chapter again. Also, all dialogues can be read on UESP (it takes a while after release until it's added, though).
