Hey guys, how are you?

I've read a fair amount of posts on the same topic, but it seemed like each case was different from mine. So... do any of you know if there's a way for me to 'fix' the boss's health bar? I'd like to have the boss's health show on the large bar and have the small one disappear. I'm currently using Bandits, but I can't figure out why my game has two health bars for the boss, whether it's a game setting or some addon.

The two bars are like that with the default UI. I guess its so you can see boss health without looking at the boss. If you just want the health to show up on the big bar turning on resource numbers in combat settings should do the trick.

I think the big bar is for the total health, which can be the sum of the boss and its adds, or of two or more bosses, etc.

That's true. It doesn't happen often but it does happen.

Right, adds hardly ever count toward the total health but in isolated cases they do. It's more common to see multiple bosses combined for the total health, such as when fighting the final boss in Volenfell, or the Cave of Memories world boss in far western Stonefalls, both of which are actually three bosses.

yeah the big health bar is mainly if your not able to target the boss, or theres an encounter with multiple boss entities

its usually used in cases of like group bosses (which the one your looking at is a public dungeon group boss), this mechanic has primarily been used in newer group dungeons

its also used in trials and dungeons for most bosses as well

my only complaint about that big HP bar is that it replaces the compass while active, without addons theres no way to tell which way is north if your trying to orient yourself
    plays PC/NA

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities
