I've been using an add-on to find regular one-time quests that I've missed after more or less completing zones, and one sent me to a spot in Stonefalls, the zone I started in when the game launched. I was surprised I missed something from all the way back then, and I was having trouble finding the quest until I realized that I needed to buy the statue to start it. This was a very present surprise, and I'd love to see more quests hidden like this.
(There was another in Rivenspire where I had to kill a particular named mob to uncover a quest. These are just all around far more rewarding than following the marks on my compass to get new quests.)
