Some of us have had the pleasure of adventuring with Mirri and/or Bastian after completing their companion quests. However, while they are happily tagging along with us, other versions of them are trapped in eternal suffering.

There's Mirri, trapped in a perpetual argument with a fetching s'wit. Why is she still there, she wonders dazedly, wasn't the situation with her brother resolved? She isn't sure, all she knows is that this fetcher is standing between her and her brother and she will shout him down.

And poor Bastian has somehow gotten tied up again, but this time nobody's coming to rescue him. He can't feel his legs, and his only sustenance has been insects stupid enough to fly into his mouth. His cries for help go unanswered.

Companion Mirri and Bastian put on a brave face but are undoubtedly horrified to witness the pain of their alternate selves.

Please, ZOS, free them from their unending torment. Per the PTS patch notes Update 41 will free Ladlow Menant from his relentless mote onslaught, it's well past time to free these two poor souls, too.

See, this is the reason we have to banish Ithelia again.

Could we also please move Raz from the tunnel in Faun’s Thicket (Galen) once his quest is completed. I’d prefer to see him safely back in the pub where he started, thank you.

The King is still outside those gates, awaiting his next move.... Even though he's done that move and actually also currently debating the war in high isle.

And EVERYONE ELSE still at the end of their quest.

Reminds me of the VLDL where Alan's NPC character is just hanging outside his store shop and then he sees the hero strolling down the road with of Alan. And the two NPCs trade looks before the both realize what is happening and then the clone gets super concerned because he realized as soon as the quest is over he is going to die. Dark but funny.

This game has a habit leaving clones of Story NPCs peppered throughout the game. I think there are 3 or 4 Queen Areyns in the game. About the same number of the Kings of the other Alliances.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

PakKat "Everything was going well, until I died"
Gary Gravestink "I am glad you died, I needed the help"

    Yup. Annoying and immersion-breaking.

But even in books, the heroes make mistakes, and there isn't always a happy ending.

PC NA, PC EU (non steam)- three accounts, many alts....

    They're all body doubles

Worse.. they all made deals with Uncle Sheo -- they can be in more than one place, at a time... but... all that sensory overload is causing them to go insane... which is why they sometimes recognize you from past events, and sometimes not......
