The "waiting in Craglorn for trials" build(s)

So...I've come to the conclusion that having a single character that can use the armory (having to buy a 3rd slot..grr) that can quickly change from/to dps/tank/heal is going to be the way to go in the long run. Several times after seeing the trial message in Craglorn chat I think "oh...yea I'll swap to my dps/heal/tank character" only to come back and be in a different instance, the opportunity gone. So...I'd like some recommendations from folks on what race and class that character should be. I currently have at least one of each class that I can start to add the additional roles in. Not subbing, but I do have one character slot left (was waiting to try the soon to be nerfed Archanist once Necrom went on sale again) in case I don't have a good race/class combo already. Thanks for any ideas.

templar dd/healer - i have a dark elf for this, can go stam or mag or heals
    necro tank/ec cro
    DK tank / zenkosh/parse dd
    Warden tank/healer
Arcanist healer/dd (don't know enough about them to know if they are good tanks)
Sorc - ummm mk sorc? Poor sorcy sorc
    Nightblade - healer

Race I don't have many comments on, I know alot of people say that it doesn't matter unless you are at real score pushing end game, but I'm sure that things like the nord resistances will really help on a less experienced tank!

Ah...thank you, however, I'm talking about a SINGLE character that can do ALL 3 roles well to include vet content.

if i decide to join a pug trial nowadays, i dont bother waiting in craglorn, i just use the group finder lol

i see trials pop up in the group finder constantly, normal ones also usually fill pretty quick too
    plays PC/NA

    active player since april 2014

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

For vet trials I dont think there is one class that is able to all well, or at least well enough to go into the standard setups (outside of vet craglorns, I reckon anything is viable there). There are people who can make a class work well in ‘non standard’ roles, but its hard and I dont know many!

You’d have to be carrying a lot of different gear on you, thus taking up a big chunk of inventory space. Say if you have all your tank gear, there’s often different sets required for different content. Then healing is a whole other ball of wax, as you may want to switch sets based on what the other healer (or tank) is running in the trial. DD is probably the easiest gear-wise.

I see people advertising so often for Craglorn trials that it’s pretty hard not to get into one just rolling into the zone. Alternatively, you could just jot down the name of the group leader and send him a whisper once you switch to whatever character you want to play.

Technically you can do all 3 roles on any class.

In reality some classes are significantly better at certain roles than others.

    My opinion:

    Nightblade (weakest at dd role)
    Necromancer (same)
    Warden (same)
Arcanist (solid at all 3 roles)

Are all good options for an "all 3 roles" character, but as mentioned above, you'd need a LOT of alternate gear options (especially for vet trials as heal or tank if you need to co-ordinate with other heal / tank so you don't overlap sets)

my main character, a bosmer warden, has all 10 armory slots and has builds for tanking, healing, and dealing damage.

but i could totally have done that with my other characters too, just won't because armory slots cost crowns.

there's no perfect race and class combo for all roles on one character.
just choose the class and race you enjoy playing with, it is a role-playing game after all.

for me i have the most fun with my wardens, nightblades, arcanists, and necromancers on any role.

    edited to add:
i suggest you to try all 3 roles with each class.

it helped me to figure out which roles i enjoy with a class
