Buff Leap For PVE

I can already hear the pvp'ers yelling, but where suppose to be able to use everything in all forms of content. But when in the past 10yrs has anymore seen this skill on a pve parse or build?

While similar burst Ulti's like:
Cresent sweep out damages it and only costs 71ult
Death stoke and its morphs: out damages it, stuns or reduces healing, gives ulti. On top of all that, you even more damage to all our abilities for 8 sec. Also Incap is now is going to be 12sec now on pts, on top of a 10% damage buff. For 70-120 ulti. It could also have some slight aoe damage, thanks to the new disease status changes. Just an insanely overloaded skill atm.
Flawless dawnbreaker: Out damages it, gives damage for being on bar, and increase damage for using it. Everyone and there mother is now running this on all the YT build videos.

Meanwhile: All leap gets is a damage shield, or a 15 ulti cost reduce with like a 1k damage increase(on my magdk).
Should get one morph with a dot, and the other with all the pvp stuff. Have the damage morph be like a cheaper meteor, where the smash leaves behind a flame dot enemies have to stand in. Not original, but provides value, while keeping it in check for pvp.

Edit: Also since i'm here buff Dark flare!

It is not a High Dps Ulti because:
    • it is AoE
    • it stuns
    • it is burst damage
    • it is a gab closer
loose these four and you can get a high DpS variant. Most similar ulti is "Soul Tether" from nightblade and you do not see this one in parses either.

Not every skill is designed to do everything equally effective. You won't see Negate used as a DPS tool because that is not what it's designed for. If you're looking for a pve dps ult you should mind the DK Standard Ult.

It could lose the stun, on the damage morph, stuns are useless on bosses. Gap-closer makes the skill the fun. Cresent and dawn are both aoe, burst ulti with dots. Plus with the new disease status effect on pts, that would also make Incap a aoe esc skill now. So not sure why leap would need to lose those? Soul Tether is strong aoe heal, that stuns, has some damage. It a strong utility ulti in both pve and pvp, never though of it as anything else. Which I much rather have the heal then a shield in both pve and pvp. Still looking for valve on leap out side of it being fun :(

Well duh, but I'm not expecting niche support skills to become parse kings, because they got some damage added to them.
But Leap literately has a damage morph and still does less damage, then similar burst Ultimates. For the same or less ultimate cost.

A morph that leaves an AoE ground DoT similar to meteor really wouldn't affect PvP - the knockback would likely push you out of the AoE anyways if you kept it around the same size as Meteor. It'd still be a nice buff in PvE where elite enemies and bosses won't get stunned.

Have it on take flight only. Cause the burst isn’t much great compared to the big damage shield you get and the flame damage which dks get a passive boost to damage of fire. Take flight hasn’t been useful at all.
