Elemental susceptibility question

Hi all

Quick question
If i am playing overland bosses and i have 9000 spell pen

I heard that overland content (also bosses) have 9100K armor buffs which can be negated with spell pen.

Is using the elemental susceptibility a waste of ressources/skill if you already have 9k spell pen?

Does the reducing of spell resistance of 5900 to the boss , something or not at all because i am already at 9100 pen cap?

overland content is only 9100 armor, if you have enough pen to get through that, any additional pen or debuffs to armor basically does nothing

ele sus though is pretty useful for dmg due to the constant proc of status effects which have their own debuffs, and that it is free to cast

chilled applies a burst of dmg + minor maim (and minor brittle if your on an ice staff), concussed applies a burst of dmg + minor vulnerability, and burning is just dmg

when you start getting into harder content, the mobs there will have 18200 armor
