Customized Actions issue

Good morning beautiful people,

As it turns out I keep experiencing issues with 'node gathering' customized actions.

With 'Master Gatherer' at max level slotted some of them suffer from a serious desync on the animations.

Thus far this affects:

Mining > Bound Pickaxe Strike

Plant Collecting > Grovetender's Sweep

All 'Rune Collecting'

Furthermore the following

Plant Collecting > Gyrfalcon Gather
Plant Collecting > Personal Plant Thief

Although useable there is still some minor desync.

Is this a 'me' issue or are other fellow players seeing the same behaviour?

I collect a lot of nodes on a daily basis due to the surveys yielded by doing writs on many characters; I was really looking forward to spicing the activity up a bit with some new animations alas I cannot use many of them (in the case of rune gathering any of them) because I find myself slowing down to allow the animations to catch up (otherwise the effect is pretty jarring) which less than ideal.

    This is mainly an issue with all Customized Actions, that completely change the animations. The ones that simply swap models of the tools (Druidstone Mine, Armiger Axing, Karth River Cleave and Stonelore Split) aren't affected by this.

    Those are the ones that I find myself using regularly. I find the Druidstone Mine particularly satisfying, conveys rather well that one is handling a pretty hefty tool :smile:

    So this is not just a 'me issue'?

    i also notice an issue with the customized harvest actions + master gatherer when looting nodes in quick succession

    if im not looting nodes right next to each other it usually seems to be fine
    plays PC/NA

    i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

    I've always had the desync issue with base harvesting animations when quickly harvesting, IE: Material survey reports.

    Basically, I've found that if you don't move the character's crosshair before gathering the next node, it desyncs. My fix has been to gather nodes away from each other:

    Node order: Middle, right, left, further right, further left, Furthest right, furthest left. When they overlap, or the crosshair caption doesn't change target for a second, animation doesn't happen.

    Try to strike a balance between being efficient with my time and allowing the animations to play out.

    I wonder if the large separation between nodes that started with Greymoor and only got more pronounced as chapters rolled on had something to do with this...

    Hard to tell without official confirmation because of the whole correlation =/= causation conundrum I guess.

    i still just loot the nodes quickly next to each other, the actual harvest time is the same, it just makes the animation look wonky when its trying to start a new animation while still finishing the old one

    basically what i can tell the issue is that the new animations were not timed correctly, or sped up in any way, for the master gatherer speed increase
