Housing Hopes/Expectations for Gold Road?

Gotta say im pretty hype for Gold Road if only for the new furnishings so i figured we could air out our goals in terms of furnishing ideas and items.

Personally speaking i want a ton of new Ayleid stuff thats not stone/welkynd metal and maybe a Bosmeri style 3 seater leather couch.

also one of those Colovian buildings overtaken by the green in Dawnwood would be a fun house.

Theyre good starts but yeah one of my concerns is that theres always a bunch of cool items in each chapter zone that never get made into furnishings or furnishing plans.

Like in the Gold Coast theres these Wedgeworth style blue vases i see dotted throughout houses, ruins, and even a minotaur's nest on the western coast near knightsgrave. Meanwhile over in High Isle theres these house Dufort tapestries in the Castle Navirre Library, and tents/Tapestries for the 3 orders in the Jousting tourney grounds we've never been able to use.

My biggest concern is that something similar might happen in Gold Road.

I would like to see a vineyard like this structure

+1 more Ayleid furniture! I’ve been putting off decorating the Embassy because all the Summerset stuff looks like hi res Breton, not Altmer. Ayleid would be a lovely substitute but the existing Ayleid stuff is few and far between. 😞

Well it usuually seems like we get 1 of each of the tiny inn rooms guaranteed but the other houses often in the crown store are either Large or Grand sized, they havent really done anything in the small/medium category since housing launched.

I'd like a really shabby tiny townhouse with an entrance to a large secret vaulted underground housing section. Like an outlaw refuge, just for housing.

The "Giant Trees" aren't very giant. I need some gargantuan ones with big and wide crowns. Also trees in clusters and not just singles.

I'm really excited by the overgrown areas they showed, so I hope we'll get assets from there. The lightposts with vines growing over them, bosmer tree-shaping-magic items, giant trees and vines!

Of West Weald more generally, since it's an autumnal area I hope we'll get more items like the autumn-colored versions of vines that have already been in the game for a long time, more ground cover, and so on.

And yes, more Ayleid items. The new Ayleid structural piece that came out at the Luxury furnisher this year is so useful.

I am really hoping for a medium/large (Waters Edge size) home in Skingrad that is not tucked far away from the action.

I wish there were city homes that had their door not far from the action. It just seems so much more alive seeing players come and go into their homes. Too many homes are tucked into the cities. Frankly, there should be multiple options for medium/large homes in cities.

This home would have been an amazing spot in Gonfalon Bay (atlthough its an NPCs house, this could have been changed in development).

I hope that housing feature includes a log our codex for all existing furniture recipes. Maybe make that codex account wide as well. So i do not need to relog to craft something.

They keep using the word autumn, but you know what? I would honestly use Spanish as a descriptor. The way the dust rolled off that one image with the vineyard during the world premiere reminded me of the Don Quixote evoking the dusty castles and windmills of La Mancha in Spain

Some more Meridia content would be nice. Maybe some lyre-themed statuary given Jephre's implied prominence in this chapter.

? maybe I misunderstand your ask, but this is coming. You can already visit the upcoming Apocrypha home on the Live server, and there will be an Apocryphal garden pack as well.

Ok this is a bit of a weird request, but wagons. The Imperials, Argonians and Wood Elves are the only races in the game that don't have wagons. Do they carry things everywhere? How do they live?

Wagons are a bit tricky to use in a swamp or a primal jungle. Also tricky make one without using plants for the latter.

bosmer do actually use wood. they just can't harm Valenwood so it's fine to use fallen wood or wood from other regions.

but without wood they could use materials like bug chitin and metal for wagons

My personal whishlist for the chapter and the Housing update:

General Stuff:

A higher count of placeble items within each house.
A weather control device.
A free camera for placing furniture inside my home. One that is not bound to my character. One that can also fly.
Changable layout for perbuild homes. It often happens that a door is at the wrong side of a room, that I want a big room instead of 2 smal ones or something like that. I'd like to change it depending on my needs. If possible.
Changeble floors and walls. Got a stonetile floor but wanting a wooden parquet one? Or some nice stone work for a wall instead of a wood paneling? I'd love to change it myself depending on my needs.
More functional furniture. Like storage where I can actually store something.
Some gardening feature. Planting my own potatos or alcemy herbs.
Better farming of crafting materials for housing. Or the option to exchange regular materials into housing materials.
The NPC to turn in master writs as a houseguest! PLEASE!
Having the master crafting station as part of your collection so I can place it in every house.
A way to have some usable furniture connected to a button or lever in order to activate them.
An option to scale some objects. At leat a little.
A way to display collected stylepages for weapons and armor.
A lot of awsome houses and furnitue. (seperate lists)

Houses for the Chapter:

A Skingrad town house/villa.
A vineyard in the hills above Skingrad with few on the city and some Aylied ruins.
An Aylied home with a good layout. I'll gladly take an intact one!
Maybe an inn or tavern along the road. Not just an inn/tavern room.

Furniture whishlist for the chapter:

Aylied furniture for living quaters including beds, nightstands, wardrobe, tabels chairs, shelfs and so on.
Aylied furnishing clutter like urns, vases, chests, carpets, tapestrys, banners, soem tableware and so on.
Aylied Statues!
Aylied crafting stations!
Aylied artifacts, relics or cool mecanisms to make something special.
Aylied structural furnishing like platforms, walls, stairs, pillars, arches and so on.
Aylied wells (without the stones above and usable like the ones in blackwood)!
Some reworked Valar- and Welkynstones. Maybe like the blue ones.
Grepevines, greaps and other furnishings for the vineyard and make a colovial style wine production.
Of cause the to be expected Skingrad Imperial furnishing.
More updated foods for the kitchen. Especially raw ingridience like potatos, cabbage, carrots, appels and so on.
Maps of the zone.
Some nice pictures of Aylied ruins in the zone.
Some Mages guild furnishing. Since we get scrybing I'd love to have an up to date study
Some books about the Aylieds that are like the new mishroom books!

Since the Aylied set coming with the celebration looks far more Bosmer than what I expected to be Aylied, I'd like to point out that I do not want an Aylied Bosmer crossover.

Furniture I've been missing last year and that I hope will be shiped this year since we got a lot of Breton stuff last year:

A Telvanni one person bed.
A big Telvanni table with the house emblem. Realy liked the smal one added with Necrom.
A Telvanni bench with mushroom pillow like the chairs added with Necrom.
A Telvanni throne with mushroom pillow like the chairs added with Necrom.
A Telvanni coocking station.
Empty Telvanni plates and tableware.
Ashyam!
Carpets in Telvanni style and at least one with the Telvanni house emlem.
Tapestries in Telvanni style.
Some Telvanni walls (stone).
A Telvanni bridge.
A smal Telvanni boat for the Tel'Galen docks!
The Ghost of the Telvanni master from the Necrom main quest as a house guest.
My personal Telvanni mouth, that represents me as a master of my house to place in my tower!
The Telvanni alchemie tools as seen on the alchemie table as stand alone furniture.
A Telvanni entchanting table.
A statue of Master Fyr!
