Are Trials and Arenas curated?

I am thinking not but if not wondering why in the world not? Trials can be a little more time consuming than most dungeons, and arenas can be also depending on the arena.

If you are talking about the item drops, then yes, they are curated.

Items from bosses are curated. Item drops from adds and chests arent

Yes, with an asterisk. There is something wonky with the Craglorn 3 trials, where you can get something like IA hands in HRC, even though you have IA hands, but do not have DM hands, with DM being a set that drops specifically in HRC. Has something to do with some items dropping in 3 of the trials, while others do not.

As for arenas, the end boss loot is curated. The loot from the bosses before the final boss are to a degree, but you can still end up with duplicate items from DSA and BRP. Such as getting Healer's Habit legs multiple times in DSA even though you have the legs but not the chest. Then BRP adds the weird wrinkle that its just overland sets from Murkmire. Haven't seen this issue in MA or Vateshran.

Only thing that is not curated are random drops from mobs and reward boxes. If it is a drop from a boss (any boss) or a chest that appears after the boss is defeated it is curated.

Every boss in arenas (and other dungeons/trials) is curated.

But not every boss drops every type of gear. So you only get duplicates once the entire pool of possible curated gear drops is complete for a specific boss type.

It is why weapons are usually the last to finish because they only drop from the final boss curated, or from chests uncurated. Because only the final boss has weapons in their loot pool (outside of a few named weapons).

craglorn trials have since been fixed for awhile now, the drops in the trials match what is in the gear collection listing for those trials (they were fixed with either U39 or U40)

much easier to keep track of, and there is no difference if you run those on normal or vet

And thank you @Necrotech_Master I have all the gear from those except the lesser versions of the sets, so I haven't noticed.
