Perfected drops in normal Maelstrom

I've received some perfected drops while running a normal maelstrom arena, I know the event states "Additional loot from bosses in Maelstrom Arena" but just wanted to clarify that this is intended due to the event or a bug that's slid by on the patch.

I've seen mention on some discord's too that it's definitely dropping perfected gear in normal, as I or others definitely don't want to get in any trouble if this is unintended i thought it best be brought to your attention.

I mean I’m not stopping you from running it and getting the loot

I’d rather not take my chances at having a rollback or get banned by accident

Hello everyone,

I was in the Maelstrom Arena twice today on Normal to farm the 6 additional sets. I already have all the perf. weapons in the sticker album, I'm only missing a number of weapons from the additional sets such as Para Bellum. Currently I got two blue unknown weapons and a blue maelstrom weapon, additionally there was an unknown purple weapon and a perf. maelstrom weapon in the final box.

It's probably intended. They probably all drops as available

@ZOS_Kevin @ZOS_GinaBruno - It would be nice to have some clarity here, as there is a lot of (perhaps not un-justified) fear-mongering going on in guild and zone chats and the like, regarding bans.

People who were looking forward to running maelstrom for the event may now be afraid to do so - kinda takes the wind out of everyones' sails.

I have just had a conversation with a relatively new player who thought the perfected drops in normal were all part of the event and is now really worried he's going to be banned because he's been farming it all day!

I did two runs for the weekly Endeavor but won't do more until we hear either way......

So @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_Kevin @ZOS_JessicaFolsom please can we have some clarification on this???
