Dynamic Events in Zones

I am not into GW2 but played it briefly at its release. But one thing I liked about GW2 is how lively the world feels because of those events. Now I am one of the few gamers who get more immersed in the world because of NPC behavior than eye-candy visuals.

However, I understand, how this game being an MMO, it is not an option. But still, It would be nice if there were NPC events that happen throughout the zones where we could participate solo and/or with groups.
Overall I think that would increase the immersion and also make us use wayshrine less while making the zone much more lively and fun to traverse.

There's plenty of this kind of random events already.

I want the system to be more close to GW2 in complexity.

The random encounters we already have show that ESO can support this type of activity, and I agree it could be fun to have some where they do more with it. I wouldn't want them to replace side quests like in GW2 or get as big and complex as the 'meta-events' where lots of chains of events need to be completed at the same time by coordinated groups of players, but some longer encounters with more steps could be fun.

For example after the one where you save a travelling merchant from bandits maybe they could ask someone (doesn't have to be the player/s who saved them) to escort them to their destination, which could lead into a 3rd event happening when they get there...maybe it turns out the person who hired them to transport the goods also hired (or runs) the bandit gang and they're angry they now have to pay for the goods, so you have to resolve the dispute.

Or the one where a mage tries to summon a daedra and gets attacked by it could lead into them asking for help to perform the ritual correctly. That one could even loop round, one of the things which makes GW2's events interesting is they are not dependent on players - if no one's around to help the NPCs will carry on with things on their own, which means you can encounter them in any state of progress. So maybe if no one helps the mage just keeps trying different rituals on their own, and the results vary slightly each time.

    I don't.

Those events are quite zone disrupting and if there's not enough players around to do some of them, you just can't clear them out and have to wait for them to despawn.

And there's content in the later expansions locked before these events, like the tower.
