could invest in some western skyrim maps though, as im still missing a lot of ancestral reach leads, but i really hate how slow and painful it is to buy 1 map box at a time, open and then repeat until you have 1 of each copy of the maps + 1 extra box
actually all of the archive containers are painful, like i cant buy multiple archive provisioning containers at the same time either, have to buy 1 and then open it to buy another

Reach was a real pain with only two maps (1 in Reach and 1 in Arkthzand). At least Western Skyrim has 6 maps between Western Skyrim and Graymoor Caverns, making it more likely you can stock up before getting blocked.
Are the Ancestral Reach motif pages completely random? Any hidden treasure chest in Western Skyrim or Reach can contain any Ancestral Reach motif page? Or does each page only drop from certain maps?

I’ve been running the archive and I don’t have a single lead for this furnishing item yet. I was thinking of buying it, but if I can’t get the others it would be a waste.
I’m starting to think that you have to get to higher arcs to get the good stuff now.

A lot of the leads are found on the pilferer, side portals, and marauders.

i think this is where ive gotten a majority of my leads as well, the marauders, scamps, and bonus portals

I don’t see the pilfered much (once every 2-3 runs) and I am running the side portals with a companion so I usually fail those.

the scamp is RNG for me, ive had him as much as 3 times in 1 arc, or only a small handful of times between arc 1 and 4
did a run last night and had him 2 times in arc 2, at least once in arc 3
the bonus portals are a bit tricky solo, because theres not a lot of recourse if bad RNG happens (you get stuck on something in the goats or watcher one for instance, one wrong turn and you can get 1 shot in the watcher one)
the companion itself is only ever useable in the arcanist duel one (theater of war), which does actually help in there
the bonus portals i feel are 10x easier if you have another player with you

I feel like the tentacle pool one is easier solo. It is like tentacles pop back up faster when with another player, so you really must get the front-to-back order right when turning off the tentacles. Solo I can usually just go in a line and turn them all off without caring about order and Ring of Wild Hunt + Charging Maneuvers will still get me through before tentacles reappear.
The Watcher one is certainly not easy solo, but having double the tomeshells to destroy just seems to increase the odds something goes wrong that you can't recover from, even with ability to rez.
