Would you like to see a Photo Mode in ESO?

Those who played FFXIV might recall a gpose photo mode that was introduced into the game to give players a better way to make screenshots (you can google it if interested, there's a lot of guides!). Soon, many players made it into their endgame, showing their love for the game and its aesthetics with various creative photos, using this system. Right now, to get good shots in ESO, a player needs both luck, a lot of fidgeting and editing camera settings to land a good shot - settings that need reset, should you actually want to play the game. I am wondering if a system like this is not already in place, considering we get nice shots in the in-game store and news posts - perhaps if the feature used by the marketing team was published for the masses, it could mean a nice addition for us and a quick win for the dev team? Just an idea...
I know it's not a feature that would improve gameplay per se - but perhaps it could be an easy win for the devs to make people stay in the game for longer, find a new love for it and have a tool to illustrate their stories in Tamriel? What do you think? Would you enjoy such a feature?

It is a nice idea as long as it does not delay gameplay updates and QoL changes too much.

I'd LOVE a photo mode. It's one of my favorite things about No Man's Sky. I wish more games employed a photo mode/camera.

It would be a godsend. Or should I say Aedra-send? It's often hard to find the right angle to get a good look at something, or someone, especially if it moves.

I use Nvidia Ansel in every game for screenshots or cinematic recordings. In many cases 10x better than any ingame mode provided and allows in single player games even for a free camera pathing.
    Perhaps ASUS offers something similar?

I don't tend to use photo mode in games much, but I'm not opposed to it being added if it doesn't take too much time for ZOS.

A lot of the time when I'm taking screenshots it's to record a specific thing happening, so then I want it to look how it did in the game (often including the UI). Even when I'm taking a screenshot of cool scenery or how my character looks I usually only make minimal changes, and since I'm playing on PC I can already do a lot of editing using other software. The option to freeze my character in a pose while I adjust the camera would be useful, but I think that's about all I'd use.

But I can see how it would be useful for other people, especially on consoles where it's more hassle to edit a screenshot outside the game.

Although there's some options other games include in photo mode which may not be possible in ESO, like changing the time of day or the angle of the lighting, because that's run by the server so you couldn't change it just on your end. Oddly enough weather effects are apparently client-side, so it might be possible to change them.

Yes. ESO is not as bad as other games for in game virtual photography, but there is always room for improvement. I'd love to have the camera be able to move away. Also, poses.

I don't know if there's a special need for it on console, in which case fair enough, but playing on PC (without any add-ons) I've never seen a need for it and routinely take a lot of photos, including as the background wallpaper on both my desktops.

There is a way where we can suppress the UI. You have to do controller keybind on consoles, I think F12 is the default on PC. Or maybe i just set that so long ago i think it is default. The only thing that is missing is a true flying camera, although we do have some movement for composition.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

they share them with people or simply keep as a memory.
i like taking screenshots of my characters in new outfits and my decorated houses.
    they're nice to just have.

and if we could remove every ui element and frame our characters better with a photo mode that would be lovely.

In MMOs like FFXIV you have a photo mode where you can take control only of characters in your party. So, sure you can mudball someone before entering the photo mode - but the camera will be fixed on your or your party's characters - and the mudballed one can run away in the meantime.
You can do it now, without the photo mode. Nothing is stopping you. if anything, with photo mode people will need to join your party - and therefore give their consent to have their chars screenshotted.

What is the difference between photo mode and turning the GUI off?

Photo Mode usually includes more options than just hiding the UI. The specifics vary between games but it often includes camera and brightness, contrast, gamma etc. settings which are seperate from your gameplay ones - so you get more freedom to move the camera around (for example more range for horizontal and vertical offset) and can set things up so the screenshot looks good without having to manually put it all back to how you normally want it during gameplay afterwards - as soon as you exit photo mode it reverts back to what you normally use.

In some games it also lets you freeze your character in place (and sometimes freeze everything, although that probably only works in single player games) while you set everything up, and sometimes you can manually pose them, from a pre-set list of poses. Some also let you change the time of day and weather and there's often fun things like filters and stickers you can add.

I think it's more useful on console than on PC because on PC you can do a lot of that by using another program to edit a screenshot (you could do that with console screenshots too, but it's more hassle because you need to get them onto another machine first) but even on PC some things could be useful, especially being able to freeze the character in place while you position the camera.

I think they mean other people could troll players who are using photo mode. There's special animations your characters do for each menu (like digging through a bag when you have the inventory open or holding a map when you're looking at the map) and it's likely photo mode would get one too, so other people could tell someone is taking a photo and throw mudballs at them to try to ruin it.
