Bestial Transformation skills missing

I picked this verse as my second verse after a side quest where my first verse pick was sequential shield.

I went into the boss fight and the werewolf skills suddenly vanished. The only thing I could do was bash attack and wait for the NPC companion to beat the boss, which thankfully she did.

I could not do heavy or light attacks as I had no weapon. I could not switch weapon bars to see if the skills had somehow gone to the other bar.

I can't say for sure, but it seemed as if they vanished the moment sequential shield kicked in. Screenshot below.

Same thing happened to me in Tho'at fight and I was able to fix it by going through the portal to the lobby and coming back. Maybe teleporting to your house then back will help?

I have had this, too.

I don't remember if I had Sequential Shield but I had just come out of a Portal to the Unknown so I know I had another verse in addition to Werewolf. I got the Werewolf after a trash round and I think I had skills, then went into a Portal to the Unknown (the ghostlight one, which turned me back into an Imperial), then from there into the boss fight. I turned back into a werewolf but all skills were empty.

I was in a Tho'at fight (Arc 2, I think) and I just ran around bashing blobs but she eventually killed my companion and I just had to wipe. I think I respawned at index/lobby instead of in boss room and went back into Archive that way and I had a skill bar. I am curious if I had left boss room immediately when I had no skill bar, gone back to index room, and returned, if it might have fixed it without having to endure a wipe.

It has not happened again but I don't get the Avatars often (maybe I have gotten werewolf 2 more times?) as my deepest run is 5-5-3 and a typical run is leaving at 3-1-1 because I don't have the visions and I don't want to put up with the slog if my DPS is meh.

I have not had the visions often myself. I have only seen arc 5 once! Partly due to skills but mostly due to the time it takes to get that far. I just don't have the sort of time it takes.

I was near the start of arc 3 this time and only carried on because I had got all three visions fairly quickly in my run.

I got my skills back after the fight was over, and thankfully my companion was able to deal with the boss with me bashing incessantly.

I am not sure if I can teleport out when in the fight and I had already triggered the boss when my skills vanished. Might be worth waiting a bit longer if I get two verses including an avatar again, just in case so I can port out too.
