Once again - How about rearranging campaigns?

IndorilArwynLlethran
I mean, when someone comes to the campaigns list, he should see the standard one on the first place. On the second - the no-cp. And the third is faction locked. If the player makes a deliberate decision to role play a faction loyal character, if he wants to play ava, map, pvd with other people who shares his interests and intentions, he decides to join the locked campaign. If the player wants only pvp - he joins other ones.
The only populated campaign is the first one and it's not because every player there is a role player, it's only because it's the first line in the list. Faction lock should be a decision, not an accident.

PS: Faction lockers were crying they want to fix the "spying problem" and "alliance jumpers" with the faction lock, but both "problems" still exist, so why keep the locked at all?

PPS: Give the role players their comfortable haven, they absolutely have the right to play the game the way they want, but stop
forcing us all play their way.

rearranging the campaigns seems fine by me,
however as you mention roleplayers i do wish we had an extra campaign without pvp

At the current state of pvp and Cyrodiil I tend to agree with the idea of a less- of pvp-free version of the zone. Because yes, some people just don't want to pvp. There could be npc-guarded keeps with overland/dlc level bosses, more quests and separate from pvp achievements.

I voted to rearrange the list, mainly so it would appease all of the players who believe that the faction-locked campaign us the most populated one only due to its position in the list. Players who genuinely want to play in a faction-locked campaign will continue to pick that one, and if they've got it set as their home campaign then the home campaign icon should help them pick the correct campaign regardless of its position in the list.

Speaking for myself, I only go to Cyrodiil to PvP for one alliance, so I would most likely continue to pick the faction-locked campaign-- which is my home campaign-- but I might be persuaded to change my home campaign if I could do so without any cost or penalty. As it is, there are already times when I choose one of the unlocked campaigns to play in due to long queue times to enter my home campaign.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. I presume you would have way better and enjoyable experience if other players in your home campaign also picked it because they wanted to pick the locked one, because for some reasons they want to play only one alliance.

Are you American? Play during Australia's prime time, I think will be about 4am your time, you will have 3 pvpless campaigns to choose out of.

even if you re-arranged the list, im pretty sure most people would still go with the camps as they are now

grey host would still be most populated, even if at bottom of list

    blackreach would still be #2

ravenwatch is a catch 22, people dont play there because it has no procs, but people who do hate procs dont play there because nobody plays there because its no proc lol (its currently 2nd in the list but one of the least played campaigns because of no proc)

under 50, is well under 50, even if it was listed first most people couldnt play it as they are on cp toons

ah, i forgot the option "doesn't matter, pvp is dead" xD

I don't see how the order camps are listed in makes any difference. People make their decision based on CP vs. NoCP I think.

And now with further reduced pop caps, on which camp they can get into, if they can get in at all if it's prime time.

people who don't know how the campaign systems work or doesn't bother reading campaign info just hop on whatever is first on the list. That's why I see bunch of CP90-150 people running around in CP campaign while no CP is mostly empty. Same for below 50 people not joining the below 50 campaign and instead it is full of older players with golded out gear dominating the whole map on their low level toons.

Although if nocp were to be placed on the first, there would be bunch of people who are wearing proc sets (which are the majority of sets) with them not working in the campaign.

I think there needs to be a different solutiıon.

I agree that the lock should be removed. I doubt it does much to reduce nefarious activity in the campaigns and Cyrodiil PvP is not designed to be truly competitive PvP since imbalances in population is very much permitted.

I have wondered why we have so many campaigns since many are dead campaigns. I think we should have one campaign made of several maps with one score. Each with its own pop lock. Players can freely travel between the maps as long as there is room in that map's population. Each map would have a unique design.

This would mix things up a bit and bring Cyrodiil back to one consistent combat design instead of several boutique campaigns that make balancing more challenging.

I don't really like PVP. I rarely see anyone anyway. I just do a bit scouting and town quests. I have been there on and off for several years and only just got around to looking it up to find you need to get a certain number of AP to get certain rewards in the locked campaign. I'm not sure everyone knows the difference between the campaigns. Or cares.

Let’s get them renamed while we’re at it. These Greymoor themes have been around longer than any campaign names in the history of ESO.

Campaigns shouldn't exist any more, players should queue to Cyrodiil like they do to BG's, you either queue as a group or solo. Map is then populated based on players in the queue and each 'round' lasts 1h.

Players can queue for their faction or as a 'mercenary' which will fill for the lowest population faction.
When the map is full and enough are in the queue a second 'campaign' is spun up. All campaign hourly results (score ticks every 5-10m) get combined and added to the global faction score.
