Another New Life has passed and once again the noble Orsimer people have been deprived of their cultural heritage! This must not stand. The First Emissary is therefore outlining a proposal to correct this injustice for the coming year, though naturally the other citizens of Tamriel are welcome to submit their own.
The first, most obvious implementation would be to set up a racetrack somewhere in Wrothgar. Maybe freeze one into the ocean off the coast, to avoid inter-stronghold issues caused by putting the track in the territory of any given clan and then inviting their rivals to race - this would also minimize the amount of terrain that would need to be leveled to make the track which, given the mountainous nature of the region, might otherwise be considerable.
The next concern is the implementation of the race itself. The obvious direction here would be to assign an Echatere mount to the player character, apply copious amounts of alcohol to the rider or the mount or both - this would allow for different levels of difficulty if desired - and have them race one or more NPCs. The alcohol would obscure the screen and make the mount more difficult to control.
It has occurred to the First Emissary, however, that we already participate in a race in Bergama. Therefore the First Emissary also wishes to suggest an alternative: the player character will instead ally with an existing NPC racer, and be charged with flinging alcohol at rival NPC racers using a catapult-like device, with the goal of slowing their progress due to drunkenness. The player character also being drunk prior to using the catapult-like device is also an option.
The possibility of both - having two teams of PCs, with a member of each assigned to flinging rotmeth and mead at the racers of the opposing team - has also occurred to the First Emissary, but may result in more difficulties in implementation, group finding, etc.
