I've enjoyed the New Life event overall, but there are some things about it I'm not happy with and would like to see changed. Here's a few suggestions (and yes, they're just
suggestions, people, which I'm offering because I enjoy and care about the game).
- mud balls: ZOS, **please** change these to only work on NPCs, I've been targeted by mud ball trolls a few too many times this event, and with a ping of 400 I can't do much about it. I tried to just ignore it, but it started to ruin the event for me.
- furniture items in event boxes: please update the event boxes to include non-lighting furniture. Through the whole event so far (2 weeks), I've received a **lot** of furniture in the event boxes, since I've been doing the 10 event quests on 7 characters (well, until I gave it up because of the aforementioned mud ball trolls), and **all** of these are lighting. There's no other furniture, e.g. bookcases, cupboards, beds, chairs, tables, etc.
- allow us to skip event quests and select another one. I don't know if this is technically feasible or not, but it would be nice to be able to abandon those event quests we're not too keen on doing, and let the game randomly choose another. Instead, if we abandon a quest, the game seems to just offer the same quest again, which means if we want to do any other quest that day, we must first finish the quest we didn't want to do.
- add new event quests: having the same 9 quests from Breda every year gets a bit boring when you've done them enough times, so how about something new?
- [not just for New Life event] remove the 12 ticket limit for event tickets, because this just forces us to either buy items we don't really want, or to discard tickets when we reach the limit but don't buy any more items. If the limit must stay, perhaps it could be higher?
- add more event pavilions. If there can be multiple pavilions with the event vendors, why is there only 1 pavilion with Breda and Petronius offering quests? It gets ridiculously, insanely busy there during this event.
- include the event pavilions in the scope of the hide followers setting, because it's difficult to focus on starting/finishing the event quests when a warden bear's rear end is blocking your view, or a twilight is constantly flapping right in front of you. Clearly, many players lack the inclination to put these away at these pavilions, so the hide followers setting appears to be the only other option.
