New Life Festival - requests for changes

I've enjoyed the New Life event overall, but there are some things about it I'm not happy with and would like to see changed. Here's a few suggestions (and yes, they're just suggestions, people, which I'm offering because I enjoy and care about the game).
  • mud balls: ZOS, **please** change these to only work on NPCs, I've been targeted by mud ball trolls a few too many times this event, and with a ping of 400 I can't do much about it. I tried to just ignore it, but it started to ruin the event for me.
  • furniture items in event boxes: please update the event boxes to include non-lighting furniture. Through the whole event so far (2 weeks), I've received a **lot** of furniture in the event boxes, since I've been doing the 10 event quests on 7 characters (well, until I gave it up because of the aforementioned mud ball trolls), and **all** of these are lighting. There's no other furniture, e.g. bookcases, cupboards, beds, chairs, tables, etc.
  • allow us to skip event quests and select another one. I don't know if this is technically feasible or not, but it would be nice to be able to abandon those event quests we're not too keen on doing, and let the game randomly choose another. Instead, if we abandon a quest, the game seems to just offer the same quest again, which means if we want to do any other quest that day, we must first finish the quest we didn't want to do.
  • add new event quests: having the same 9 quests from Breda every year gets a bit boring when you've done them enough times, so how about something new?
  • [not just for New Life event] remove the 12 ticket limit for event tickets, because this just forces us to either buy items we don't really want, or to discard tickets when we reach the limit but don't buy any more items. If the limit must stay, perhaps it could be higher?
  • add more event pavilions. If there can be multiple pavilions with the event vendors, why is there only 1 pavilion with Breda and Petronius offering quests? It gets ridiculously, insanely busy there during this event.
  • include the event pavilions in the scope of the hide followers setting, because it's difficult to focus on starting/finishing the event quests when a warden bear's rear end is blocking your view, or a twilight is constantly flapping right in front of you. Clearly, many players lack the inclination to put these away at these pavilions, so the hide followers setting appears to be the only other option.
PC(Steam) / EU / play from Melbourne, Australia / avg ping 390

"Add new event quests"...... Please, please, please(it's actually worth more than 3 pleases!), I did a full set of quests first day, remembered how bored they made me, since then I've done the shrine one for tickets and walked away.

It's really beyond time to add in some new quests or even better replace them all!!
    When people say to me........
"You're going to regret that in the morning"
I sleep until midday cos I'm a problem solver!

You can accept the quest, abandon it, and repeat until you get one you like. I absolutely refuse to do the dancing quest because I hate the female dance in Davon's Watch. My character kills stuff and does not slither.

The light furnishings are loot to reflect the existence of the Signal Fire Sprint SFAIK. That’s why you aren’t getting anything else. I suppose they could add some fishing items for the Fish Boon Feast…

I’d be all for more quests though. At least add one for each Chapter region. What does Anequina do to celebrate New Life? High Isle? Do the Reachmen celebrate? At least let us switch between picking locks and picking pockets in Rawl'kha. And we still don’t have drunken Echatere racing in Orsinium!

I think the issue there is the event's been designed so that all of the quests are in base game zones. Not sure if that's a necessity... perhaps there could be a second quest-giver at the tent who offers DLC event quests... but I could see it drawing a lot of complaints if they were mixed in with the base game quests.

That said, I'd love to see some new quests added to the event too! And some new rewards. It might be fun to add an optional "event boss" quest like they did with Witches' Fest. It's good to keep things fresh. I wouldn't really agree with removing the old quests - there are always going to be players experiencing their first new life so what's old for some is new for them.

As for the mudballs thing... I've never understood why that bothers people so much - it's just one area for a couple of weeks. Meaningless sillyness. But also it's not for me to judge - IMO they should add a toggle in settings that prevents other players from throwing mudballs and similar at you, if you so desire. A lot of folks have fun with it and I'd hate to see it removed... and keep in mind that they may not be intentionally "trolling" - I suspect most players genuinely don't expect that it's bothering someone (and wouldn't know unless they were asked to stop - if they continue at that point obviously it would be trolling and I believe actually becomes reportable as harassment at some point).

Oh absolutely make a new quest giver for the DLC zone quests. My thought would be to put them in the zone they give the quest for (so, the NPC for the Anequina quest would ONLY appear in Anequina - you could even do different NPCs for each zone that way if desired). That way if you can pick up the quest, you can do the quest.
