What is your goal? Leveling the Mages’ Guild skill line on another character? You don’t have to find all of them again to level it, and alternatively you could do quests/dailies to level the skill line. You could also buy it from the Crown store for 3k.

For the achievement or buying book sets from the Mystic, that has been account-wide for some time now.

Mora's mythic needs the shalidor library. It is not account wide. I tried buying the books tonight.

Yes, for that you do have to find them again and reading the furnishing version doesn’t count — there isn’t a shortcut to maximize that mythic.

I wasn’t meaning to suggest that you should buy the furnishing versions of the books, but trying to figure out for what you were asking if you needed to find all the books again.

EDIT: It looks like you’re on a PC server? There are add-ons that mark your map with the locations of these books (quite customizable too) which makes it pretty painless, especially if you combine it with other goals like leveling Psijic’s, gathering Skyshards, etc.

It should definitely be account wide. I refuse to use Mora’s no matter if it’s meta because no one’s forcing me to grind for ages to max it.

Nvm I completely misinterpreted both the thread and Mora’s as referring to the other library— which should be account wide because collecting every single book in the game is a Task.

Meanwhile, I got the entire thing collected on all my 20 characters. The only ones that required me to go out of my way are some exclusive to Cyrodiil, everything else required at most a quick diversion from collecting all PvE skyshards and doing all guild questlines, which I always do on all characters.
Different strokes for different folk, I guess.

That being said, I am not opposed to an alternative to this particular scavenger hunt.

i bought all the shards and guild skills because i have done them 1 time already. I should not need to repeat tedious content i already did. So they should let me buy what i already did.
