Add-on clash with Gorn PD / Sharp-as-Night Quests?

Hi. I've been doing the Gorn public dungeon quest alongside the Sharp-as-Night quest and I've been experiencing game freezes when interacting with NPCs related to those two quests. If I switch my add-ons off, the quest proceeds fine, so it must be a clash with something. The game freezes and I have to quit, then have trouble signing back in (interminable queue of "1 second", booted from server, unexpected error). I've only experienced the problem on one character doing these quests (so far).

Hahaha sorry the only way to find out is:

Disable bugeater and any other addon that suppresses error messages, then check if you get any error messages.
If yes, fix them or disable addons that throw the errors.

If no disable half of your addons, starting with quest /npc related ones. The test an repeat until the error is gone and you find the addons that do not work in combination.

Thank you, yes, I'll try that.
If it helps anyone else... the problem only happens on my Necromancer character. I'm wondering if it has something to do with having changed his build in the armory. He was a vampire and was on bite cooldown. Now he isn't a vampire anymore (but the cooldown still appears in stats). I'm going to disable all add-ons while doing his daily crafting writs and wait for the cooldown to tick over and then test some more.

BTW, the freeze game bug/problem was happening with all quests, not just the Gorne/Sharp ones. Happened when I logged in for the crafting writs with add-ons enabled.

Did you check your SavedVariables fodler if there are any big files around 10mb+ ?
SV size can often be a problem if your client freezes at loading screens/login/zone change!
Disable those addons or check if there are settings to reset/clean SV (in the addon settings menu or addon description -> slash commands).

e.g. addons like Master Merchant and LibHistoire can also grow in size a lot, so maybe check if you can lower the number of days saved in the settings.

Yes, Master Merchant was my first thought, but it was freezing with all those files (the add-on and the libs) disabled. The problem seems to have been resolved now.

If anyone else encounters it:

It only freezes on one character -- a Necromancer Orc (former) Vampire on bite cooldown.

I had removed the Vampire skill-line with the Armory, though the cooldown still registered as active.

Disabling all add-ons prevented the game freezing.

The freezes stopped with add-ons enabled once the Vampire bite cool-down had elapsed.

I spoke too soon. It's still happening. Time to work through those add-ons

You can use Addon Selector addon to save current addons as profile 1, then disable the upper half via left click 1st addon to disable and then SHIFT + left click on he addon in the middle -> WIll disable all those in between.

And then try and repeat with next half of upper half and so on.
