Disable automatic remove from dungeon when only 1 left in group

I often play solo in dungeons while waiting for group finder to find more players (which often takes a long time cause ESO seems pretty dead) but if someone joins my group after I have finished 2-3 bosses and the other player decides to leave the group, then I’m automatically removed from the dungeon, which is extremely annoying after I have just defeated a difficult boss. So please disable automatic remove, and please make ESO less dead. Group finder in EU PC is often empty, even primetime.

Most players do not want to join a dungeon mid-run. I know that I do not. This is especially true if they are running the pledge and you've already passed a required boss. Best thing to do is if you go in solo, complete it solo.

Ok that people leave, but don’t auto-kick the last player in the dungeon.

Agreed. I can’t think of a good reason as to why the game forces you to leave the dungeon.

I will guess: It releases server resources for other players.

“It releases server resources for other players”

Relatively many play solo in dungeons, spending a long time there, alone, and that’s never been a problem for ESO.

Many dungeons are also dead, at least on EU PC, so why auto-kick the few solo players who still play in these dungeons?

It is possible that you are under estimating the server population. In any case, that is my guess as to why. The server is only going to be able to have so many dungeon instances. I have no idea what happens when it runs out, but that is their responsibility, not mine.

This is a good idea. Sometimes people want to run back through the dungeon after it's completed and look for chests they may have missed. A solo player should be able to remain in the instance if they so choose.

I actually remember something that happened me almost five years ago. I was doing last quest in Imperial City and was in a group. That person had to leave and i got kicked out of instance mid quest. They were not even in the quest instance.

It should not remove you indeed in these sort of situations.

This is exactly what I do. Sometimes I can find them before time runs out but not always.

If any player leaves it's no longer a full group, so why is 2 players still in group allowed but 1 isn't?

And both players don't even need to be in the dungeon. I've run around a dungeon while the other player still in the group had ported out so it's not dependent on more than one player actually being in the dungeon. So why can't I just be in there on my own?

Agreed, automatic removal after group is disbanded shouldn't be a thing.

I mean, if we play the whole dungeon solo from the very beginning we aren't kicked either.

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

I know the reasoning but no one in their right mind is gonna stand in a dungeon instance eternally, so I agree the timer should be removed. If it becomes a problem, then make the timer 30 minutes or something more than literally a minute.

Stopped reading after seems pretty dead.

It's like the number 3 ranked MMO right now. With I think over 10M subs across all platforms. The game is anything but dead. The finder though does still major work and is busted half the time. Anytime I I get a player declined I have to leave and enter the queue again or it will never find me a group.

    Lol Dead.

Exactly my top reason for hating the auto-kick.

    Greetings,

After further review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic, as it's about dungeons.

    Thank you for your understanding

    “Lol Dead”

I’m talking about dungeons in EU PC, but it’s just based on my daily use of group finder to see if there are dungeons, arenas or trials I can join. The lists of the group finder is almost always short or empty. Cyrodiil is also pretty empty, EU PC.

I don´t know which rank Eso is at, last time I looked it was somewhere in the middle. I still sub, but don´t do any content beside writs on two of my characters and some mats farming if Im in the mood for it.

I don´t know, but there could be people like me, who still sub, but spend little time in it. I for one have been playing another Mmo I know very well and like - the community is outstanding, no griefing or other bad things happening.

The 10 mill sub ? I don´t know, where you have that number from and not very important to me, as Eso isn´t my main Mmo anymore - that time is over.

Im on PS5 so I can see, who play Eso on my friends list on a day to day basis. Mostly two and sometimes three out of 50 people all former Eso players except from 3 people, who never played Eso.

I agree, I didn't realize this was a thing until I put a group finder for dungeon farm. I went in solo and was fighting the last boss in Black Drake Villa when someone joined and then left. Then the kick timer appeared. That was stressful because I had already died once and restarted the fight. I was able to kill the boss and loot before it elapsed, but seriously?

It's also annoying when you want to level a new char and would like to do the quests. In some dungeons you have to convince a groupmate to stay in group with you for a couple minutes at the end, and wait for the questgiver to stop talking and let you finish the quest already. Because otherwise the timer will run out. And we all know how much all the speedrunning tanks with 18k health and no taunt love waiting for new players (or chars) with quests...

Number 3 ranked mmo and 10m subs? That would mean they make 10.000.000 times 13 euro a month with subs alone? May i ask where you got this incredibly optimistic information?
