Extremely weak, convoluted and nerfed skills, lack of balance and completely outdated.
Nightblade was my preferred class, it was fun and pretty engaging to use. It was the thief class, the assassin. No more. Forgotten, neglected. This is so sad.

How comes nbs have bad survivability in pve? With all the defensive options they have I find it pretty good for soloing, my favourite even.

But PvE I’m with you. Stamblade in particular has suffered the most, with almost no innate survivability in combat and what strengths they do have are pretty easily outdone by other classes. I seem to recall Surprise Attack giving major breach a long time ago, but now it’s only minor (and it seems concealed weapon is the favored of the two with its many buffs). Killer’s blade execute past 50% isn’t actually effective until around 25-30%, making it on par with Impale but at a greater cost with distance from a boss. It would be amazing to be able to use Siphon abilities more as a stamina based class, or at least make them stronger even for Magicka without the necessity of using the Soul Reaver set. As of now the majority of the skill set is out of touch for stamina blades, with the exception of Leeching Strikes.
DK is possibly the most balanced class in the game, having usable skills across the spectrum regardless of tank, DPS, and slightly lesser degree healer. Nightblades have almost no utility as a tank, are just Ulti-gen bots as healers, and run towards the bottom of the pack in terms of DPS.

There is an exhaustive list of really fun things that have been utterly destroyed in ESO...for reasons.
