Magical Multitudes Verse in EA

Does anyone else find that this one is very hit and miss in actually activating? I have used it a lot and it either activates right away or not at all for the whole stage. I know I am using the right skills to activate it since I have done so before, but while it is great when it works, it is very much 50/50 as to whether it is going to at all. Not sure if it is something I am missing or just bad RNG.

    It's bad RNG, when it works, it's great, but a lot of times it won't trigger until the boss is done or something like that. I do however feel like the RNG has gotten worse solo.

    I think with the "may" wording in the verse description, it probably has a lower chance to proc. And with a 15 second cooldown, that chance to proc probably seems really high as a result.

    I find with more AOEs, it tends to be more consistent. And it is once of the strongest verses, so it isn't surprising if it is a lower chance to proc.

    Yeah, I have found that it tends to work more when I am in a duo, rather than solo, when I would have thought it would activate more when I am solo since it all takes me longer to clear anything. I have gone through stages using nothing but aoes that usually set it off but with nothing happening at all.

    As I learned last week, multitudes is one of those verses which only one person needs to take but can trigger off of both players so it makes total sense why it triggers more in a duo.

    this verse works better on boss stages than add stages, in add stages you may have to move around too much for it to be effective, but in a boss stage if the boss is sitting on the epicenter of the effect you can reach 200k dps and disintegrate the boss lol

    What part of it actually hits anything?

    A lot of those orbs pass through enemies without noticeably influencing their health.

    It's a fairly powerful Verse, however I do wish that they would tone down the visuals just a bit, as it's easy to lose sight of small adds in the chaos of the massive rolling waves of damage.

    This ^ On Thoat's fight, the visuals made it really hard to spot the little blobs that need to be interrupted.

    What part of it actually hits anything?

    A lot of those orbs pass through enemies without noticeably influencing their health.

    each orb deals dmg, but individually a single orb does not do a ton of dmg

    on a tank toon its only about 60-80k dmg per orb, and because its on a rotating axis, the further the enemy is from the center the less likely they will get hit by orbs

    the closer the enemy is to the center, the faster it disintegrates, a boss sitting dead center on the epicenter of the orbs will be taking roughly 4x 60-80k dmg per second (ive registered as high as 253k dps on a boss before because of this)

    The visuals of this verse are too over the top, It's really hard to see anything when it triggers. And I believe intuitively the red color is supposed to be damage that should be dodged

    This and you can't see the lines on enemy players letting you know that a heavy attack is coming or that a channeled attack needs to be interrupted.

    It’s only after seeing those things multiple times that I finally realized they weren’t attacking me and that I didn’t need to dodge. Now they just clog up my screen and make it difficult to see the mobs I actually need to kill.

    Another thing I've noticed is it tends to spawn on where your crosshairs are pointing when using Wall of elements or other cone/line/etc aoe.

    Ran a duo yesterday where the other player had multitudes and I had the eye that taunts. Was a truly deadly combo. Multitudes popped, whack eye dead centre, everything dies.

    You can recast the ground AOE until it spawns and then activate/engage the round (i.e. you don't have to be in combat). :smile:

    It works really well on targets that have a large hit-box like dragons, but not as effective for smaller bosses/adds unless they are sitting in the exact middle.
