Endless Archive set drops

Last night I was trying for my last piece of armor(Soulcleaver)but instead I got the Monolith so I stopped and started again today. I got a different piece still, I got the Arcanist piece and i`m still on a Nightblade. Just can`t get that last piece.

Are you only doing Arc 1? Weapons only drop on even arcs, or from vendor containers.

Could it be that the transmute cost is so close to 25 that the game considers the set complete?

I am getting past arc 1 because i`m getting pieces for the other sets.

Getting past Arc 1 has nothing to do with which class set you get. Arc 1 drops body pieces. If you have all the body pieces for your class, you will get a body piece for a different class. You need to get past the first Tho'at Replicanum, who will drop a body piece for a different class because they cannot drop a weapon for any class (including yours), then you should get the needed weapon from the Arc 2 Marauder or the second Tho'at Replicanum.

Getting past Arc 1 has nothing to do with which class set you get. Arc 1 drops body pieces. If you have all the body pieces for your class, you will get a body piece for a different class. You need to get past the first Tho'at Replicanum, who will drop a body piece for a different class because they cannot drop a weapon for any class (including yours), then you should get the needed weapon from the Arc 2 Marauder or the second Tho'at Replicanum.

Yes and I was answering a question, of course I got past the Tho`at boss. If you read the first part you will see that I have explained that I got pieces from other Endless Archive sets that go to other classes. Look at the pic and you can see that I have 1 piece left to get and instead i`m getting pieces from another class.

I think you're misunderstanding what they said.

We can see that it's possible that you do higher Arcs because you do have weapons. However, the Arcs have specific drop tables - Arc 1 will only ever drop armor, so if the armor pieces from your current class are filled, you'll just get an armor piece from another class. Weapons will drop from the Marauders and Tho'at in Arc 2.

which suggests that you got the Tho'at 1, found it was the 'wrong' set, and then redid Arc 1 and still got a set from another class. That's correct, as Arc 1 will only ever drop armor. If you had continued your run to Tho'at 2, you would get a weapon, and it would be the last one you're still missing.
