Do i have to Download the game a second time to play on a European Server with a friend?

my partner is playing ESO and is on the EU server but i have the NA server downloaded when i go to swap server it wants to download the ENTIRE game again. is that supposed to happen?

    Unfortunately, yes. Essentially like downloading the client twice. Sucks.

    No, you don't. Make a copy of your existing folder and call it "Elder Online EU" (or similar, I am at work). Just add EU for European server or remove it for the american. Then it won't redownload ALL but just few megs

    that is a whole pile of crap oh well worth it i guess thanks guys been trying to live in denile :)

    It seems this method does not work anymore. Just tried it, gave me an error message.
