What was this ?
I wasn't knocked down. Is this an interrupt ? A stun ? Is there any mythic to prevent it ?

the only thing i can guess is you got hit with agony (stun) from one of the enemies and it interrupted your vampire drain, and when an attack is interrupted it gets put on a cooldownplays PC/NA

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

Can I use the Snow Treaders ?
snow treaders only prevents snares/immobilizes that are cleansable
the npc agony attack is a full stun that you have to ccbreak out of (or the stun ends automatically if you take enough dmg)
the only way to prevent most stuns is to block, or use immovable pots, or the heavy armor skillplays PC/NA

Yeah, I have Immovable slotted and I generally use it, but this was a what-if experiment.

Some boss mechanics will cut through cc immunity - you have to avoid them as intended (be it block, dodge, or positioning).1
