Wrong Loot in Endle Archive

So how can it be, that I get a nightblade set item as a Arcanis? Thi happend on the PTS as well. VERY annoying a I have still some set pieces for the arcanist to farm.

Some Arcs only drop weapons and jewelry, so if you already have the weapons and jewelry for the class you are on it gives you a curated drop for another class. I assume you still have body pieces (what happened to me) and I think weapons and jewelry drop more often. You just have to farm Arc 1 to knock out the body pieces.

Also the patch notes have a curious word here: “Curation rules in Endless Archive dictate that you will find your class’ set items first. After receiving the possible entirety of your class item set, you will get drops from the other classes.”

All class sets have all items available. So what purpose does the word “possible” serve unless there are circumstances in which it is not possible to drop some of those pieces from that encounter?

Speculation seems to be that Arc 1 is body pieces in all weights and Arc 2 is weapons/jewelry. Since Arc 2 has a Marauder and Arc 1 does not, you can actually accumulate weapons/jewelry 2x faster than body pieces. Combine that with more body pieces in sticker book than weapon/jewelry...

There could be a point where you have all weapons collected for all sets (or your class set) but still not all body pieces. So weapons will be random pulls from random sets while body pieces will still be curated to drop the ones you are missing.

For example, I have completed all the sorc weapons and am now getting random curated drops from other class sets whenever I reach a boss that drops weapons. Still have around 7 body pieces left to collect for sorc.

The word possible here means exactly that, possible. You got all the items possible from that boss, which in this case is jewelry/weapons. The boss doesn't drop armour therefore pulling from that pool is not possible. It is most likely working as intended, just not how players expected.

Edit: Most likely the intended design was people run Act 1 more than succeed on Act 2/Marauders so you can fill up your book with armour before weapons, but this doesn't seem to be how it played out. Thankfully Act 3 onward doesn't just drop weapons.

Yes, my point exactly. There will be times it is no longer “possible” to pull your class set even if you’re missing some gear from it because that boss cannot drop what you’re missing. Similar to how you won’t get jewelry/weapons off the first few bosses in dungeons even if those are the only pieces you’re missing. They just can’t drop that loot.

Well, thank you for the informations. Looks like I will do only Arc 1 with a some chars ... good to know, but still very annoying.

I started getting class set pieces from other classes after I had gotten all the peices for the class I was playing as, however when I was playing duo sometimes I would instead get the pieces for the class the other player was playing before I had compelted my class set collection

Again, my point. If all set pieces were possible off all bosses, there would be no need to use the word “possible” to qualify the loot in the patch notes. It would not serve a purpose to include it unless there were some circumstances in which it were not possible to draw every set item.

i havent figured it out exactly if it alternates between armor and weapons, i am paying more attention to staying alive than the loot once i make it past arc 4 lol
