"Auto-Decline Guild Invitations" option?

I'm getting tired of having to decline unsolicited guild invitations from a certain set of guilds, and my ignore list is filling up. Any chance of adding this as an option (or, if it already exists, pointing me at it?)

If you're running around Glenumbra PCNA there's a bot that guild auto-invites everyone that runs by, usually either by the Wayshrine or on the town bridge near the woodworking station.

It's already an option under Social.

I am trying to find where it is. I know it existed because I had it toggled on before.

Is that new or something? I thought the only auto-decline options were for duels and Tales of Tribute invites, not guild invitations?

I'm was sure this used to exist because I remember having it on before, but I can't find it now. There are add-ons that do that, though, if you are on PC.

Just be a member of 5 guilds, if you have no open guild slot you don't have to deal with invites :)

We all know who you are talking about. Just add them to your ignore list. Certainly you can spare a slot for this rather well-known account.

Not really an option, but I accidentally found a way to stop unsolicited invites when a friend attempted to invite me to his guild and couldnt.

I belonged to 2 guilds already. Apparently by the time he tried to invite me, I had 3 unwanted invitations that I never responded to. I didnt decline them, I must have just ignored them and either switched characters or logged off.

It seems when you do that, its like a pending. You didnt decline, so its counted as a guild? Thats the way Im figuring it, because as soon as I went back in and declined one, my friend was able to send me the invite.

Yes, apparently guild invites sitting in your notifications counts as a "guild" for the purposes of 5 maximum guild slots. I've had folks who have applied to my guild or asked to be invited, I tried to invite, game said they were full on guilds, and it was because they needed to decline a pending invite.

From a GM perspective, a pending guild invitation counts against the total number of players in a guild as well. Say my guild is at 499 members. I send a guild invite out to someone and it sits as pending (not yet accepted). Even though it is pending and shows at bottom of roster as pending, member count changes to 500. I would not be able to send out anymore invites, even though that person has not accepted the invite and officially joined the guild yet. It's like it saves them a spot.

    Nice suggestion.

I think such a toggle is quite standard nowadays in MMOs and I'm a bit baffled that this option doesn't already exist in eso. (I'm member of 5 guilds myself, so I don't witness those ninja-invites personally.)

On a sidenote: I will never understand, what exactly people expect they'd get out of ninja-inviting anyone to a guild, group or even friendlist without actually communicating beforehand. Even if I'd join due to a misclick, I'd simply undo this error by immediately leaving right after.

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

There is one particular guild on PCNA that is notorious for standing in town and throwing guild invites on everyone that runs by. They are the only ones that have ever done this to me and I've told them to stop but they still continue.

I'm going to start taking screenshots when this happens and submit a ticket if I can show they continued after being told to stop.
