DEVS Buff a skill. Skeletal mage or Spirit Mender?

To offer more class skills to the necromancers tool kit, one of these skills would be perfect to add major sorcery/brutality to. Each morph could keep their already respected abilities on top of the new buff giving diversity. Skeletal mage in my opinion would be the best option because its already part of the offensive skill line, and it already lasts 20 seconds and would do the following

1. Create a corpse
2. proc offensive passives (Rapid rot, reusable parts, death kneel, dismember)
3. Give the class a better feel for summoning the dead

Spirit mender would also be a valid option. And to help the intensive mender buff a little more, would be to add a longer duration of the buff, (say 30 seconds respectfully to align with other class buff times); along with the increased healing, leaving the other morph (Spirit guardian) the tankier option, giving variety play style.

1 Creates a corpse
2. allows more healing to be done passively while being offensive, to make up for the loss of being tanky
3. provides different play styles so that both morphs has a place in PVP and PVE

A frequently asked question and request for the class, but I figured I would share my ideas since I main a necromancer since launch of the class on Xbox

I’m all for buffing both but in hopes to actually getting some attention from the devs on this matter, I was starting small lol

Neither and both at the same time.
Put the buffs in one of the useless passives like Death Gleaming, something like 15/20 seconds of Major Sorcery/Brutality every time a pet summoning ability is used (Blastbones, Skeleton and Mender). Nightblades already get Major Resolve through a passive, no reason Necromancer can't have something like that.
Balanced by people with no prior gamedev experience, couldn't fix performance issues in a decade, can't code a real matchmaking algorithm to save their lives, more maintenance downtime than all the other MMOs put together, more bugs introduced than bugs fixed every big patch, same stagnant combat for years.
Done with Elder Joke Online: 2 seconds of input delay on "70" ping edition.

Stop increasing the duration of Necro pets. Corpse creation is tied to the duration of the ability - increasing the duration of Skeletal Archer and Arcanist hurt Necro more than it helped because now you have to wait longer to create a corpse. Buff the abilities in other ways or rework corpse creation entirely.

But you only have to wait half the cast time for a corps to drop (10 out of 20 sec) and you’re going to be recasting anyways, including procing reusable parts, so it’s not that big of a deal.

Mage skill should give major sorcery. If you already have active major sorcery, it should give major prophecy. If you have it active too, it should give minor courage. If you have it too, another bit stronger buff. This concept will enable build variety in a good way, especialy for PvP build that lack bar space to slot major buffs. Drawback: it will buff PvE builds that already run dmg/crit potions.

Blastbones should be less clunky and more reliable.

Mender was operpowered but hen got overnerfed. Now necros need to have several defensive skills that cause more bar space problems. Devs should throw away standartised balance sheets and properly balan the game. Asymetric balancing makes game bit more imbalanced but way more interesting. Mender or any other survival aspect of the class needs a buff imo. But a good offensive buff will allow allocating a set slot to defense so defensive problem will be fixed that way.

Necro is clunky and full of weapon skills. It is the major problem. Everything else can be fixxed with power level increases.

Skele mage and its stam morph SHOULD carry the buff I agree, along with their respective tool tips they currently have to keep the diversity of singe target vs AOE

Imo best ability to give Major Sorcery/Brutality should be Summoner's Armor. Necro sustain is not that bad so pet cost reduction is wasted there.

Doesnt't have to make sense, we have a pull ability with major expedition or armor buff that is a sticky aoe dot around the user.

Fair enough. Just wish they would do SOMETHING…

Skele mage; either grant buffs while summoned (minor brut, major courage, or major force preferably) or allow summon multiple.

If you could have 2 summons for one of the morphs, that would be sweet.
