“In the days before the Orsinium’s founding, the spurned Orc-folk were subjected to ostracism and
persecutions even more numerous and harsh than their progeny are accustomed to in our own age. So it
was that many champions of the Orsimer traveled, enforcing what borders they could for the
proliferation of their own people.”
-Malacaths Tale, 16 Accords of Madness, v. XII
“for When the cursed keeper consumes the blood of true kings
and returns his people to ash an cinder
will the faceless man fall
and the green tide rise over the north”

the cursed legion
During the early years of the first era, the Orsimer were scattered across the plains of tamriel.
Lost and without guidance, they played war amongst themselves and the surrounding races, sending war bands to battle.
Soon the borders of these strongholds would conflict, causing anarchy as the Orcs numbers grew expeditiously.
Threw the Blood an ash came the rise of two unexpected champions, Orcs of unknown origin, who’s destiny’s would soon become entwined.
Voicing his interests was the keeper of the sworn oath and the bloody curse, Malacath.
Demanding upon the two to cease the bickering and join forces, for the survival of their entire race.
Seeing no alternative they reluctantly allied themselves and traveled, attempting to protect the outlining settlements.
As time passed more follows were gathered to the cause, joining the vigilantes on a quest for self independence.
Thus the Cursed Legion arose from the flames of battle, for they would truly be cursed to wander forever, tasked with patrolling the outskirts of their people.
The first of the two champions left, to regain his internal sanity in solitude.
The second with the help of his founding clansmen ensured safe prosperity amongst the strongholds.
By the later years of the first era, a mass exodus took place, sending the surviving green horde north to high rock.
Although the rout was blocked at Bangkorai Pass, it only forced them to traverse towards the dragontail mountains.
Lead by the orc Warlord Thulgeg, the horde reached the Wrothgarian mountains.
Finding refuge in the mountain regions, the remnants began to expand into a society.
Slowly Over the years came progress and commerce, as the orcs and goblins built their new home.
Soon enough an aspiring chieftain, Torug gro-Igron envisioned a permanent home for his kin and alike.
As his stronghold grew, more came to his side, and thus he became the founder of the first city of Orsinium.
Attacks from the orcs became a constant, as Torug sent his raiding war-bands down the Bjoulsae River.
This caught the attention of King Jolie of daggerfall, alarming himself and the surrounding kingdoms.
Hearing word of these attacks, the cursed legion confronted Torug of his motives.
Becoming clear he was only interested in provoking a fight, the legion persisted the chieftain not to have Orsinium become a target.
Although it was already to late, as King Jolie sent a letter to the order of Diagna.
Requesting aid of their blade-master and leader Gaiden Shinji, for a joint attack of the fortress.
With the combined Forces of Daggerfall, Sentinel and The Order Of Diagna, they marched to purge the new orc city.
hearing word of their alliance, Torug made his stand with his people of Orsinium, claiming to defend his peaceful kingdom.
The Cursed Legion agreed, contributing a portion of willing keepers to assist in defense.
The battle that then took place lasted thirty long years, taking casualties on both sides of the conflict.
the aftermath left orsinium desolate, as the joint alliance ransacked what remained of the defeated orc horde.
So it will be named, the siege of orsinium, where great champions of both sides fell, and the orcs proved their prowess in battle.
The keepers who remained rallied their banner, and continued their post for years to come.
Now the drums of war beat anew, with dark anchors emerging from coldharbor.
As Molag Bal and his armies descend upon Nirn, the orcs must find allies in unlikely places.
With the aid of the daggerfall covenant, Orsinium rises once more.
to protect what forces they can, and push back the coming darkness, The Cursed Legion fights once more.
For They would truly be cursed to wander…
