Warden Build - EA?

Hey all,

Just wanted to get a discussion going about wardens in EA (solo). What are people finding useful set-wise? How much HP/Mag/stam are you running with for builds going past Arc 3/4? I've gotten to arc 3 pretty consistently, but am having a hard time making it further. I know some of it is learning the mechanics, and ensuring i'm not getting destroyed by them.

I've been running orders wrath, and either nirn, false gods for sustain when I run as mag, etc. Looking for some tips on whether people who are having more success than myself are running stam or mag, and what builds they're going in with.

My advice is to go tanky with your build. There are builds on YouTube that go into sets and such, but in general you need to pile on the resistances or you will get murdered in the 4th arc. I run a magicka warden with 5 heavy and 1 medium and 1 light. I even made the 3 big pieces Reinforced so I can hit max resistances when fully buffed. You also want a charged frost staff as your main weapon for all of its passives and applying chilled.

I would first decide which arc you want to get to, and whether you want to kill marauders (in particular Gothmau). Because you need to be tanky to go far or kill marauders, but then your dps will be slower on lower arcs.

Running 5 Reinforced heavy armor with Major + Minor resolve and the 1700 armor CP perk is 25k armor. You get 990 per Winter's Embrace skill, and you'll really notice the difference the closer you get to the 33k cap.

If you do that with ~30-35k health, you can put everything else into recovery and damage.

I was able to easily facetank Gothmau on Arc 2 on a heavy armor ice staff warden build (Leeching + Ice Furnace), but it wouldn't be a very high dps build for solo farming runs. I was running an Oakensoul build with with 1 heal and 2 DoTs.
