QoL Armory Station Update

Tahlavos17
Hello,

I would like to suggest a QoL Update for the Armory Station where for those of us who have accumulated a bit too many Skill Points with one build to transfer some of the excess amount of skill points over to some of our other builds for a cost of 500 Gold per Skill Point. I see this being useful for those of us who wish to not respec our builds just for the new Skill Points we obtain through-out our times in Tamriel. I strongly feel that this would benefit both new players and veteran players alike with this QoL Suggestion. If this is in the wrong spot please move it to where it needs to go.

I'm very confused by this request. Each build uses the same pool of points your character has earned, how would one build on a character have more skill points than another?

Here's what I do. Top Slot is my most common build that I use. Bottom Slot is a soft reset only filling out the passive skills and champion points I know I will use in every build so I'm not refilling the essential stuff every time.

Well, How I originally envisioned this suggestion is the fact that I've got a Master Crafter Build and wished to transfer the unused Skill Points on my Bow Master Build over to the Master Crafter Build to put towards the crafting skill trees that I need for all of my crafting to be unlocked, and I was thinking of this as an option for both new players and veterans alike to transfer the Skill Points that will go unused from one build to the other for a fee that would be acceptable like the Redistribution of Champion Points. I see this being used to for players to expand their builds out larger while still being enjoyable for the game.

I understand, and I get why you'd want this given how many points it takes be a master craftsperson.

However, this sounds like a savvy player could essentially double their skill points on a character using gold by leaving one build empty and dumping all their points into the other. Which kind of kills the need for all the skill point hunting which is a big part of the game.

I'm glad to have fully explain it now that people can now understand, and I get where you're coming from as Savvy Players could abuse this now that you've pointed it out to me. I think maybe there needs to be a limit on how many points could be sent across from the builds per week so it doesn't break the game entirely. I think that this would be something ZOS would need to figure out how to do it properly so it isn't as abusive as players could make it out to be. Only time will tell.

I suspect ZOS sees it as you can already buy more skillpoints by purchasing the crown store upgrades for skyshards. Now that gifting is re-enabled, it is possible to get those with gold. It is much more gold than the 500 per point, but ZOS benefits when skill points are purchased that way. They would not if we could effectively transfer skill points from one character to another.

The skyshards can't be gifted via the crown store, probably because they're account specific and require unlocks/achievements from the account to buy.

Ah, thanks for the correction. I'd forgotten that.

I still think ZOS would rather the crowns, then.
