Why do Necrom sets now get their own separate collection?

Excerpt from the U40 patch notes: "Necrom item sets can now be found in their own section in both the Set Items Collections menu and Grand Master Crafting Stations."
I don't understand why this was moved from the other DLC zone sets to it's own section. It's just 3 sets like the other zones.
Could this mean the coming expansions are going to expand upon Necrom as a hub area instead of being independent zones? But if that's the case, why do it now?
It's not even related to the Endless Archive because those 7 sets are in their very own section unrelated to Necrom.

A bit less odd than them being labeled Apocrypha in the set collection window instead of Necrom.

Apocrypha is probably because Apocrypha is the biggest of the two zones in the chapter.
the set collection names are always zone names

The sub-collection already had that name instead of "Necrom" before they did this, when it was still under "DLC Zones".
    and it still does now.

you guys remember that well where you go to meet Hermaeus Mora that first time in Necrom? there are 2 more wells like that through the peninsula. but they don't come up in any quests. perhaps those are also loose ends just like this one. places where the map/story may be expanded with the next Dungeon DLC or Chapter.

Are the class sets in the Necrom collection?

If they are then it might because those are basegame

no. they are in a completely separate "Endless Archive" section.

I wonder if it's because it's the current chapter. And they plan on making whatever is the new chapter it's own section, and then move them to dlc zones when the zone becomes dlc from now on. It would make it more consistent with the way they are marketed and included in Plus.

Do you mean the wells to access Bastion Nymic?

I assume they did this to separate Necrom and Apocrypha more distinctly. There are also antiquities in Apocrypha that were relegated to Necrom previously. In addition to the Endless Archive, this is making Apocrypha feel more like its own zone rather than just another part of Necrom. Sort of retroactively DLC-ing it.

nope. they look like that antiquity furnishing that needs 3 leads which all drop from treasure maps. it's white marble ruins with a shallow pond of dark water. only one comes up in the necrom story line but there are 2 more throughout the zone.

yeah I did notice those. Thought they'd be used in quests later but just never came up. Maybe they'll be used for the big "end-of story" quest that ties it all up once all of the relevant chapters are out.
